| First, calm down, it will be okay. Mix flour and water to make a thick paste and put it on there if you don't have the stuff that stops bleeding. It won't be painful at all. Again, calm down, you didn't do it on purpose. It really will be okay. Last edited by Julz; 07-27-2005 at 12:34 PM. |

| I am probably a day late and a dollar short but use the styptic powder in a paper towel and hold it to the ear. It will stop the bleeding but right now, your babie's biggest problem is a really upset mommie. Try to calm down and take her to the vet. If the cut is a "V" shape, the vet might want to do a stitch or two. You cannot believe how many of us have given our babies a boo-boo at some time. It is an accident and they happen so don't beat up on yourself..She iwll be okay.. |

| Awww, girl it's easy to do, don't freak out too much! I know you feel horrible about hurting your baby girl but she'll be fine! It will heal. I came really close when I was trimming Sully's ears when he was a puppy and girl I got a really sick feeling in my stomach when I thought I had cut him. I know how it feels! But she won't hold it against you and you know of course you didn't mean to. Here's to a speedy recovery, dancin' Coco!

| She might hold it against you. I cut Muffin's rear end about a year and a half ago a tiny, tiny bit and thereafter she would sit down so I couldn't do it without someone holding her up. |

| OK so she's totally getting every snack that she wants right now. I'm stuffing her with food, to make it up to her. She just had tuna and loves it. The bleeding has pretty much stopped. When I rubbed the napkin on it, it was just a orange/red, almost non existent color. I put the flour paste on their , then neosporin. I will call her vet now. I'm trying to calm down but I can't stop crying.

| I've done this before on Stewie's ear. I used flour to stop the bleeding. He was fine after about 10 minutes. I was freaking out more than he was. Hope Coco is better.
