| neutering is supposed to help control a male's dog marking of territory. However, our male yorkie is 7 and he doesn't always lift his leg to pee but we catch him every once in a while lifting his leg and marking the end of this one table. So it's not fool proof, but it would definitely help alleviate the marking.

| My vet had told us to wait until Mozart had consistently raised his leg up a few weeks before having him neutered. My husband did not want him to go like a girl. We did what the vet said, and it worked. Mozart has been raising his leg for 10 years now. I would assume you do the opposite if you do not want them to raise the leg. You would not wait and do it before they have raised the leg consistently. Good luck! |

| He may or may not. Chachi started lifting his leg after he was neutered. He only does it outside though

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Well lifting their leg and marking can be two different things. I had a male that didn't left his leg...but marked....not in my house, but tinkling a little everywhere outside. That's marking without lifting their leg. Reese is 18 months old. He does not mark and has just started lifting his leg to pee. He still usually squats to go...he says it's hard to balance on just three legs.
