| Holding pee? I am wondering how long Carlos can hold it. He holds his pee all night appox 9 hours. We do not crate him during the day and we have finally started outside training. Before he went on a pee pad and always does really good. But now that it is warm and his neuter scar is healing I am trying to teach him to go outside. I am just worried that he cannot hold it all day and I can't come home to let him out and I don't want to cause further confusion by letting him go on a pad during the day. He is 7.5 months.

| Zander is trained to go potty outside. When I go to work I leave him in an xpen with a pad. That way if I am stuck in traffic or whatever and he absolutely can't wait anymore, the pad is there for him. To avoid odors to the floor or if he slightly misses the pad, I have a big thick clear plastic under the xpen, I pinch the pad with the edge of the xpen, or he will take it and play with it. ;D When I am home there is no pad on the floor, he will smack the bells on the back door and let me know he has to go outside. Hope this helps.

| I think it is said that they can hold it the amount of hours as the months old they are, after 5 months. Like 5 months old can hold it 5 hours and so on until they are 8 months old. That is what I was told but Lily can’t make it past 5 or 6 hours and I can’t blame her so she always has access to potty pads.
