| He is getting mad at me! (anyone else's do this) Holy Cow! Keeley has started to get mad back at me! For example today he started chewing on the computer cord, and I clapped my hands and said "No" very firmly, which is how I have always "punished" him. And it has always worked just fine, but today he turned to me and starts barking back at me. It is like he is getting mad at me, because I am not letting him do what he wants to do. He also did this when I took away my cell phone that he some how pulled out of my purse. (I can't help but laugh like crazy when he does this. It is so dang funny to see him "yelling" back at me. ) Anyone elses Yorkies give them attitude? |

| Zeus does this if I bring him back inside from the back yard and he isn't ready to come in. He will try to run back out and when I tell him "no!", he sasses me! He really does think he's the boss (and most of the time he is!).

| Callie does that too. She growls and barks at me, then stops for a second and gives me the cutest look I think I have ever seen then starts to bark again! (It's almost like she's telling me she's going to do whatever she wants and "look at me I'm so darn cute I can do whatever I want!") It really is cute, but it doesn't get her very far.

| My puppy does the same thing!!! He talks back just like my son does! It was really funny at first, but now he does it all the time and his bark is so shrill that it hurts my ears. |

| Don't forget who's the alpha dog...YOU! It's cute now but it won't be so funny when he's older. Moxie started like that then as he got a little older he started growling with the barking. I now let him know who's the top dog and he's good for a day or two then we go through it again LOL ! |

| Oh, yeah! I know where you're coming from. Deegan started this when he was about 11 wks old, which meant I had him for 2 weeks. He's full of attitude - me bf and I just laugh at him when he does it - it's funny to hear him talk back. Good thing he's not a kid, 'cause then he might get the hint that it's funny and never stop doing it at all. Sometimes I have to spray him with a water bottle to get him to be quiet.

| Yep, Rowdy started doing this while he was staying with my daughter when we were on vacation (he was 4 months old). When we got back he decided to bark at my husband and I. At first I was at a loss for what to do and it was driving me crazy - but then I decided to think like his mom. I thought that if he was being bad, his (dog) mom would get him by the scruff of the neck and shake him - so that's what I did - I got him by his harness, shook him just a very little bit and said in a very stern voice, "NO BARK". It startled him and he ran to my husband, got in his lap, turned around and looked at me like "what in the heck did she just do!" It only took a couple times for him to decide it wasn't a very good idea to bark at us and it stopped. |

| Gus is a good boy,,, (Knock on wood) the only time he'll bark at me is when he wants to play. But we used to use a spray bottle on my pom. She was a little demon seed. One time I tried to take away a m&m that one of the kids dropped on the floor and boy did she put up a fight. She was so mad at me I had to push her away with the broom and spray her face. They really hate that spray bottle. I used it once on Gus for chewing on the carpet and squarted him right in his eye. I never did it again. Up to this day he'll run to the other room if he sees the spray bottle. We use it when we iron our clothing.
