| I know I know.... I have read the puppy chart sticky and it contradicted itself. At first it said he would be all the standard colors, then later that he would be light grey. Right now he still has his puppy black, i guess what you would call a wooly coat, but the top of his head is grey... will it change to the normal like it said, or will he be grey? I will love him either way... Have you had this? |

| My Xavier is the same way! Maybe its just normal for Yorkies? He is almost all gray on his head, but the rest of his coat is still mostly black & tan. O and VERY wooly!

| AKC has 2 color grades for Yorkies, Blue and Gold-which is silvery body and gold head and Black and tan, whose black stays black. My Yorkie is 3 yrears old in which the black should start turning silvery, but it hasn't yet. They turn all kinds of colors until they are grown, and even then you never know what color grade they will be.

| I'm curious about this too since Samson is wooly with a grey head and body is still black (6 mos). He's turning a little grey at his shoulders so I don't know if that's his body turning grey or just color coming up from his tan legs. The coloring changing stuff is ssssooooo confusing isn't it

| I gave up trying to figure it out but Lucy seems to be blue/gold. Both parents are blue/gold so I'm fairly confident she will be the same.
