| New Member/Have neuturing question Hi Everyone. I am a new member and have about a million questions but I will start with this one first I have a 3 month old yorkie named Ralphie and I am not sure when is a good age to have him neutered. I am absolutely terrified to put him under because I have heard so many stories of little babies that have complications with the anesthesia. Anyway, this is embarrassing, but last night when I went to pick him up from inside his pen he started humping my arm. Isn't 3 months too young for that??? Will getting him neutered help?? I am a little freaked out and could use any advice that someone could offer. Thanks!! |

| Thank you so much, it helps to know that it is not totally abnormal for him to be doing that already. |

| I would like to welcome you to yt. Ralphie....what a cute name. You have come to the right place to get answers to all of your questions. I would talk to your vet and see when to get him neutered. I think he is probably about ready.

| I know how you feel I have talked to my Vet about getting my baby neutered and she told me when is testicles drop. They start about 4-6 mths she said. I know how you feel my baby hasn't humped me or my leg or anything he has this stuffed bunny that he plays with and plays tug. When he gets excited he starts to hump the stuffed animal. I correct him immediately but I thought he was to young to do this also. WHHHEEW I thought I was alone and was ashamed to say anthing about it as well as freaked out. Why do they do this so young I wonder. |

Donating YT Addict | My little boy is 15 weeks and started humping things about 2 weeks ago. It started with just my husband's arm occasionally but now he "loves" his stuffed animals too He goes to vet the Saturday for final vaccinations and I am going to schedule his neuter for ASAP. My vet said he can do him anytime so I'll probably schedule it for 2 weeks or so. He is around 3lbs and the doctor feels he should be fine. Talk to your vet about a pre anesthesia blood screen. That may make you feel better.
