Franklin started humping around that age. Some people wait until 6 months but some people say the sooner the better. Nowadays, it's safe to it pretty early. It's just a matter of when you and your vet are comfortable doing it. Getting neutered will help, but until then, just discourage the behavior. He's only done it 4 or so times and hasn't done it since.
