| i had to shave my yorkie so my husband and i got our new puppy and she was really matted badly..but we had to wait until her second round of puppy shots to get her cut. when we went they had to cut her so short i couldn't believe it. lesson to anyone who doesn't know (this is partly the fault from the breeder and me not knowing....brush before you bathe not after |

| Aww she is nekkid! Well at least you learned and you can start off on a fresh start!! Welcome to YT btw!! There is a great leave in conditioner spray that I use daily on Parker called Ice on Ice, its soooooo worth getting!!! Its wonderful on getting mats out and keeping the coat nice and silky (among a long list of other great things it does too) |

| It happens... I had to shave Meka when she was 4 mo's. They can get matted for many reasons (i.e.: scratching, clothes etc...) It took about 2 months to grow back fully - but she was a cutie either way. Welcome to YT Cant wait to see pics

| I let my inlaws watch lily when I went to TX for my sisters wedding and when I came home she was such a mess I had to have her whole body clipped and she looked like a big rat, but I still thought she was cute.

| I highly recommend Buddy Splash by Cloud Star - It contains natural herbs & oils - I use the original with including lavender & mint, which gives it a great smell. Recently they introduced some new fragrances that I have not tried. www.cloudstar.com -- you can order it from there. I first found it at my holistic/acupuncture vet 4 yrs ago, but now so many other places have picked up their products. lzpeaches my vet is Iowa Veterinary Acupuncture Clinic - Dr. Van, he's in Beaverdale. But I think Iowa Pet Foods might be carrying it on 22nd St. near Gordman's & Michael's or Petco might even have it. Also, remember to never brush a dry coat. So a little spritz of Buddy Splash & the brush moves thru their coats so much easier.

| It will grow back quickly. I always get a buzz cut for my yorkie in June. I always like to get to the skin quickly in the summer. I think she looks adorable that way. Of course, no matter the cut - a Yorkshire is adorable. |

| I shaved Riddick, not because he was matted, but because his coat is so fragile and keeps breaking. Let me tell you, he now looks a million times better.. So I bet your little lady is just as gorgeous now as she is with long hair.. Showing off Riddick in the pic.. |
