| calling ALL big hearted softys I know this can't just be me, but do some of you worry when you read a thread where a pup doesn't seem to be being treated like you would think it should be? I've had problems lately reading threads and then not being able to get what theyve said about their furbaby out of my head. Especially a VERY recent one where the member has now been banned, and i'm left thinking OH MY GOD now we'll never find out whats happened to their poor pup I absolutely LOVE reading the posts about all the spoilt furbabys on here, you know when you read posts and you can just feel how much they love their baby coming through in their words but at the same time the bad posts play on my mind for days I know theres not much we can do but c'mon every other softy out there, give me some ideas how you get rid of the sad thoughts! x

| Wish I could, but there's a certain baby out there I still see shivering on his pee pad! So sad I can't get it out of my mind. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I hear ya!! I am such a softie and I feel for any animal not being treated right. I see a dead raccoon on the roadside and I feel bad.

| I never knew when I signed up on a web site that I would feel such a connection with other peoples dogs and them personally. It has happened.. I am a softy.. I have got to slow down though to be honest cause I have donated.. I have cried and been emotional and it has affected me in my everyday normal life... I finally had to sit back and think of it like this... My hubby and I are both licensed in the state of Texas for foster children. We did it for 1 year and I doubt we will ever do it again... We have to get in our minds that we can not save the world .. We can give advice and we can help and that is about it.. None of us have the money to keep donating to different rescuses every month so my hubby and I have decided on a amount that we will donate and we are sticking to that I can not go over and beyond like I have been doing ... My poor bills will be neglected then.... We also can NOT be the determining factor of what a parent will do with their dog...UNFORTUNATELY.. I know everyone of us on here want each person to take OUR INDIVIDUAL ADVICE.. It is not going to happen ... We can sway a decision and they can choose to go with it or not... I have done this .. I have said to myself.. I am doing all I know to do for this family and this dog and now GOD it is up to you... It hurts when I feel like I have spun my wheels and took time away from my family and have talked hours on end WITH NO RESULT and trust me it has happened and to that I say: I have planted a seed now someone can come and water it... Hugs I hope this helps Vicki

| I am terribly soft-hearted. There are so many threads that I will not even read because they seem like they will be too sad. I particularly despise the ones where it is pretty apparent that the owners should NOT be owners...of ANY living creatures. I feel so so bad for the dogs and can only hope that the owners will be paid back for their uncaring or mean attitudes. Karma...

| It really irritates me to see someone come on here and say things just to get a rise out of us...and I think that a lot of times it is. However, when it is REAL, I do feel angry at the member and feel sorry for the dog. There are a lot of crappy dog owners out there. Today, I thought I saw one of my neighbors dragging his dog across the parking lot but my view was blocked and I couldn't be sure. I think he leaves his dog outside a lot because I always hear it barking. Yesterday at the Houston YT meetup, I saw an owner at the dog park throw a full bottle of water at his chihuahua! He was trying to get its attention. Of course we all jumped on him...he even almost hit some of our dogs in the process of trying to hit his own dog. His little dog could be seriously hurt if hit with a full bottle of water. If he treats his dog like that in public, who knows how he treats the dog at home.

| Hi, thanks I do try and tell myself 'well you cant help, or make someone do what you feel is the right thing' but.... i still imagine the little dogs face, especially at the moment like Jody said imagining the one laying lonely on its pee pad I know admin has no choice but to ban someone, but it still feels like its turning our backs on a poor dog that needs help and leaving the poor baby to get on with it alone.

| Thanks Vicki, that's it exactly! We can only do what we can do and then leave it in God's hands.

When we adopted Joey, the breeder gave us the third degree of every aspect of our homes and lives and we talked many hours on the phone about my beliefs in discipline. Now I understand why she was so hesitant to give out her precious babies to just anyone.

| I too have worried after reading some of the stories on here where you just know the dog isn't being loved. Thankfully there are amazing stories of love and rescue on here that help to take away the bad. I try to stay away from threads I know will make me sad .

| ok... I spoke too soon I read the post where the poster was banned and I see what you are talking about! That is actually the only person on here I ever got an iffy feeling about but she seemed like she was trying to do the right thing by looking on here so I didn't think much more about it. I can't imagine giving a yorkie a bath in the dead of winter w/ a water hose! HOLY COW! I mean I know there are misters...and such... but even at 75 it is chilly out when wet! Well... maybe if you lived down on the gulf coast where you can wear shorts practically all year! Anyway...now I see what has some people worried! ME TOO! |

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | Threads like that get at me and I can't get them out of my head. There are still threads from 2+ years ago that I can remember, just because they shocked me so much and I felt so awful for the dog. I never have and never will understand how someone could be mean to a dog...any animal. No matter what you do, your pet still loves you. It seems like some people go out of their way to make their pet hate them, and it still looks at them with loving eyes. I only wish that people could have the love in their hearts that dogs do. When you hit another person, they hit back. When you hit a dog, they lick your hand.
