Donating YT 11K Club Member | Never met a person more ignorant! My bf's sister is going now to pick up a 1 month old puppy for her daughter. Some might have heard about my bf's older sister in my threads, she is an independent woman, had a baby at 19 and her daughter is 7 now. She works hard, sometimes like a slave but then claims she has no money when the business she is in is supposed to provide a lot of money, she's in insurance. Anyway she works so much sometimes that she drops her daughter anywhere, leaves her with us, with her ex's mom, etc. The girl cries and because of that she is not the best behaved. She is spoiled and the mom gives her anything to shut her up. She gives her cookies, and donuts to go to sleep. I can't even believe my bf grew up with the same parents as her, as he is the total opposite! She is a nice person in general and not crazy but some of the things she does is off the roof. She has tried feeding my dogs fruity pebbles and chicken legs. We told her they CANNOT have those things and to not feed them! They never ate them cause we were there to catch her. She just thinks dogs can eat anything. She also has a rabbit that her ex bought her daughter to try to be the 'perfect dad' when in reality he sucks as a dad. He was in jail before and treats them like crap. But because it was a gift from him she keeps the rabbit, which by the way is wild and crazy. He goes crazy in his cage and tries to scratch everything. She doesn't feed it or clean it's cage and me and my bf are the ones that do. If she does feed it she throws coco puffs cereal in his cage. She has had birds before and they have died because she forgot to give them water and food. We ended up also taking care of the remaining birds and we found them a good home no matter what she said. She was pissed but i do not like animal neglection. The problem is she works so much she doesn't have time for them, she hardly has time for her daughter. She was not ready to have a daughter imo! Ok so anyway back to my story. She and her daughter really like Teddy and the girls and lets him stay here 'cause the girls stay in my house when im not here. The girls are in heat now and that is the ONLY reason Teddy is here and cause my bf is here with him obviously and he loves him. Her daughter loves him very much but is always following him, trying to go in my bf's room and my bf is always telling her NO! We let her pet him, play ball for a little but not pick him up, etc. I guess her mom sees her get sad about it and decided to get her a DOG!!! A 7 yr old a dog!! These ppl know NOTHING about dogs, this little girl cannot take care of a dog. Her mom will have to be the one to take care of it but since she is always working don't know how that will be. Who will potty train it, feed it, walk it? BTW as we heard them speaking this morning she said the puppy is only 1 MONTH OLD! He still drinks from a bottle she said. I wonder how in the world will she feed him. My bf was so mad he told her what he thought. We tried telling her that is too young to take away from the mother but the ppl she is getting it from don't seem to care. She is so ignorant! I don't even know what kind of dog it is, but i know it will prob. shed and get big and she won't like it anymore. This is so ridiculous! They are going to pick it up now and then taking it to her job, which is a bunch off loud ppl cheering, making noise. BTW it is freezing here, raining still i think and it's not a good day to bring a puppy home. Me and my bf are just so mad. And no matter what we say she doesn't care. She is so cheap i know she will not take it to the vet. She doesn't even have a bed for it. She plans to put it in a basket that is in the kitchen for his/her bed. I just know we're gonna end up feeding it and taking care of it 'cause i will not see an animal suffer!

| Good grief! Poor puppy - it's way too little to leave it's Mama It sounds like the only thing you and your bf can do is be there to pick up the pieces. How sad.

| I can't believe she is bringing home a 4 week old puppy. Thank goodness you and your bf are around because it sounds like you will be taking care of this new baby too.

| Is that legal in NY? I know in many states puppies have to be 8 weeks. I feel for you- that has got to be so hard to watch.

| I feel so sorry for the puppy & thankfull for you and your bf and I know that you guys wont let him/het suffer. She needs to be more mature about the situation and animals do need TLC!!! Let me tell her that to her FACE . In response to the previous post: Nikki+2Is that legal in NY? I know in many states puppies have to be 8 weeks. I feel for you- that has got to be so hard to watch. It's not ilegal if she is just getting it from someone she knows...Sad but true The litter might not even be registered!

| Why on earth would she not think that it is okay to get a puppy at 4 weeks old....she needs to insist the breeder..oops...person cause I couldn't see a breeder doing that, keep the puppy longer. Maybe once she gets the puppy home, she'll realize the amount of work it takes to care for it and take it back... I just don't know what to say about this one...

Donating YT 11K Club Member | I think it is. This is what i think and i don't know cause i didn't even speak to her about it, my bf did. I think her friend's dog had puppies and she is giving them away or selling them for a low fee. I don't think she is a breeder. The puppies are prob. mixed, her friend sounds irresponsible to be doing this I can't believe this puppy is going to be out in the cold with them, at least they are being driven.

Donating YT 11K Club Member | Thnx. Yea we are going to do everything to help but i am not experienced with puppies that young. If it is still feeding from a bottle idk how often to feed, what to give, neither does she. I'm sure the lady will tell her but still...i was just doing research right now on bottle feeding.
