| That little Rocky is SUCH a lil' darlin'.... poor little angry guy... I wish I could bring him home and show him ALL the love that a real Mama can give!!! I hope he finds a forever home soon.... he will make someone a truly wonderful friend one day!! Ohhhhhhhhh and I would scoop that precious Molly up on a HEARTBEAT!!! They are all little angels!!! Ugh, I hate going to those sites!! Makes me so sad for them .... but I suppose they are in the best hands they can be in right now, until a new family brings them home!

| Yorkie rescue Posted by YorkieAunt Quote:
Hard to get phone #'s at times but, I did. And they are honest. Not like MANY other so called groups I spoke to. Some of the dogs were written up all foo-foo like. I had a flight and a long drive for other reasons. Then just heart broken to meet a vicious yorkie that was not like his picture and not at all like his silly notes saying he loved everyone, he just needed a chance and he was so sweet and gorgeous. He was opposite of what the foster home sd. I wanted to take him 'cause I felt "they" were bad for him and the home was not clean. Guess, it was not my time and I am not rushing or looking. Not sure if I want another yorkie or to help with them. Just don't like to see so many needing new homes and I know eveyone probably wants the young good lookin' one and the others just sit and have to wait. YTs are always in rescue. LOTS of Mills in Alberta [+ other areas] spitting out small dogs.

| Such a wonderful site. Thankful that they exsist for our furbabies! I just wish they would allow children because I would of rescued one instead of purchasing one!

| Wow They have some of the prettiest rescue dogs I have ever seen... and w/ reasonable adoption fees.... some places are outrageous (I guess to cover medical costs). |

| The YTNR is under the umbrella of the YTNC. Parent clubs of the AKC have to have rescue organizations associated with the club.

| They have a Pup - Madddison? Quote:
I know most posts for rescue dogs did say no children. The petfinder site has a note for the no children link - I think....think....it means under 5 years old if I remember from the canadianyorkshireterrierrescue.com website adopters page. I can see why... 'cause one lady (at CYTR) did say that they do receive YTs due to child issues, barking, housetraining, possessiveness of one person and biting at times. I agree with their overall idea that it is all for the dogs. So, if it is just for the dogs, then they just need ONE more family to enjoy for the rest of their lives. Most have already been through enough. I think emails are a standard form but, if you spoke to them [CYTR] and noted your own child's experiences with little dogs, especially YTs ...etc. maybe I am not sure....maybe a dog like Madison would be okay. She is not much of a "YT" looker but, she is cute and I like her eyes. They told me that a breeder (I have my own opinions on that one ) sold her to a lady as a YT cross breed pup from two YT cross breeds that looked 100% YT. I am going to Volunteer here in Cda with CYTR. I would prefer to let go of a great dog to a great family instead of keeping them all. I think CYTR need the help and no rescue can save those little dogs if no one will volunteer and foster them. The site mentions that they even need software to do up the website and probably some one to update it for now too. I feel bad when I hug mine, eat chips and watch TV while others are really out there working hard to save those little dogs. And if i knew website stuff i would help out with that too. I did ck out some of the extensive vetting that they do, 'cause I met an adopter. I'd rather be hooked up with a great rescue than one that does little vetting. tinaannbyers - I bet Brandie appreciates that you are helping others like her. p.s. hope no one minds that I am trying this new board features and I am trying to color some stuff in and add those icon smiles and things.
