| Ex-Pen Question Hi Everyone, What do you line the bottom of your ex-pen with? I don’t want to mess up the hardwood floors or carpet. I’m looking for something relatively inexpensive and durable. Someone once suggested a vinyl shower curtain, but I’m afraid my baby will chew on that. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thanks. |

| Solution Hi, I too wanted to keep my floors under the pen clean, non stained, odor free, etc. I purchased a very strong clear plastic at the fabric store. I then arranged it to where it is wider than the xpen so the pup can't grab a corner. VERY, VERY EASY to wipe & keep clean. Hope this helps!

| I buy the cheapest vinyl shower curtain I can find. I like the thick clear plastic kind. So easy to clean. I extend it just outside of the ex-pen so Gracie can't get ahold of the edges. I tried a vinyl table cloth and for some reason she was able to get ahold of the edges, turn them over and tear off the fleece backing. Go figure.

| Remnant vinyl floor covering works good for me with a washable potty pad at one end.

| How big is the area? You know those pads they put under office chairs so it will roll easily? Would it be big enough? Probably Office max or Office depot.

| I used the cheap table cloth idea. Bought one at Walmart. It was easy to clean and it really seemed to work with my little ones. Good luck on your search.

| We put the x-pen on a piece of vinyl flooring. Ollies sells pieces (different sizes) that will fit an x-pen with some overhang of the vinyl. Costs about $15 a piece and lasts a very long time. We buy a new piece for each litter of puppies. Keeps a "fresh" floor down. Less change for germs other things that are bad for new babies. The puppies can scratch no harm will come to the flooring. Plus they are waterproof and easy to clean.

| Well for our expens we put down a plastic shower curtain that is bigger than the pen so it just outside of the pen to make it harder for them to pull at. And then we put down a sheet over top on the curtain because we don't want them to chew on the curtain in case it makes them sick. And then we put the pads down. It works great. The floor stays protected and I don't have to worry about them chewing the shower curtain and getting sick because the sheet over top prevents it.
