| What is your Opinion... I am totaly beside myself here with Sami.. I had started trianing him to use peepads at two months old. I originally made a post at that time "newspaper vs peepads". So I changed to peepads. I really didn't know why everyone was using peepads instead of newspaper, So with all your help & support I currently use peepads. Now my dilemma.. I am a smoker and I never smoke inside my home, so I always take my ciggy break just about every 1/2 hr to an hour and sami & tilly go out in the back yard with me all the time, Plus we have a doggy door that sami is a pro at using. Well when sami is out all he will do is pee! he will not poo outside he comes in right after we have just came inside, and poo's on his pad! Now this a good thing as long as we keep him gated from other rooms in the house. But Im thinking maybe I created a problem here I have trained him to poo on this pad and only his pad, he thinks this is where he is supposed to do this? I have taken a pad outside and put in on the lawn but to no avail SO then I think well If I had still have been using newpaper would I have this same problem? well since newspaper is not scented and peepads are! that answer came to me as a NO! So I need some help how to potty train him from the pads to go outside?? Please any suggestions or opinions will greatly be appreciated! Sami just had his 6month BD yesterday and I wonder what age do you stop using the pad and should I have stoped long ago? I praise him with a treat when he poos on the pad when he is not gated to encourage him to continue using the pad to discourage him not to poo after the gate is removed and has all access to his home. So now I feel Like I am starting all over again with a problem I created myself! I was just wondering what was your opinion in regards to training to use peepads? |

| Here is an idea. Don't know how well it will work. How taking some of his poop and put it outside around the area you want him to go poop. |
