| Bella's Crazy Habit Bella has been waking up at 4:00 a.m. every morning. She wants to eat, and then go outside to do her duty. It drives me crazy. If I don't get up, she starts whining softly, then louder and louder until I get up. It has been going on for months now, and I am tired of getting up so early with her. Any suggestions?

| Sorry I don't have any solution for you - I just wanted to say that I empathize. Tetley is a 5 am riser and that's just a wee bit too early for me too! Luckily I have a terrific husband who takes it upon himself to haul Tetley off to the living room at this time where he continues his sleep on the couch while Tetley can play on the floor and I can get my sleep. I'm hoping that as he gets older he'll sleep longer. How old is Bella? |

| How old is Bella? If she's an adult and she should already have a pretty good grasp on her bedtime hours and potty hours then I would try the soda can & coins trick. Put a handful of coins in an empty soda pop can and the second you hear her starting to whine, shake it. (if you have a partner in bed beside you, make sure to give fair warning ahead of time.. or it could end up being you corrected! lol) No guarantees but it's worth a shot.
