| puppy pads work, but when he's free..... My 5 month old Yorkie Jaxon does great when he's in his confined area. He regularly uses the puppy pads without any issues - for both pees and poops. He also does great having pees when we take him for walks. The issue is poops when he's allowed out. He doesn't seem to understand that he can still get to his puppy pads when he's out - we open the gate and he has free roam. Any suggestions for getting him to use the pads when he has the freedom?? If we are watching him, he'll 'ask' to be taken back to the pads and often will go if we give him a moment alone. But this has only been for pees. Yesterday there were 2 times when he could have gone to the pad but ended up pooping elsewhere. |

| Hello And Welcome To Yt! Try putting the wee pads where you want him to go even outside. Secure it with something like rocks so it doesn't blow away. Good Luck

| I am sure I have read many many posts stating the same problem. Pees on his puppy pad - but poops every place. And - mine does the same thing - he is good when he's confined - but not when he's loose. At least - we can pick poop up without it causing much damage. Pee is a different thing. Carol Jean |

| I have a 2 year old male and he is the same way. He will use the pad 90% of the time. Don't ever get a black light or you will die if you see the carpet. I don't know what to do!!! |
