| Cleaning urine on floor I'm in the process of potty training Gidget from wee wee pads to outside. She is still peeing on the kitchen floor even after I've had her outside for 10-15 minutes. I've tried washing the floor with straight white vinegar to get rid of the urine smell since I read that they don't like the smell. It doesn't seem to faze her. What else can I use to mop the floor so she doesn't want to pee on the floor. |

| I don't know about smells, but when you take her out, do you walk with her? Or is it a quick trip to the backyard? Sometimes walking gets them going. It works for all the pups I transport. I get them walking and they'll take care of business.

| Yes, I walk her around the yard--usually 10-15 minutes. Should I give her more walking time. |

| Maybe an extra 10 mins can help. Hopefully others with little girls can help.

If she doesn't go potty when you're outside, go inside, wait about 5-10 minutes with strict supervision, and then take her back out to the potty area. Repeat this until she finally goes potty outside and praise!! It helps to use a potty word everytime you see her pee/poo. They'll learn that's the potty word and then you can try using it as a command later on. If you're crating her, then make sure you take her outside each time you take her out of the crate before playing. And when it's close to the next potty break (say 30-60 minutes until the scheduled potty time), I'd suggest putting her back in the crate to avoid accidents. If you follow these suggestions and she's still peeing on the floor, note down when she's doing it; you might need to tweak the schedule accordingly (i.e. may need to take her out more frequently).
