| grooming My Lucy is 13 weeks old an I am trying to get her used to being brushed daily. However all she wants to do is chew on the brush every time I try. Is there a trick to doing this? She gets all worked up whenever I try so I don't get very far. Any suggestions would be helpful. |

| If she's food driven, how about using treats to distract her? Get her to realize you have a treat, sit, give treat, stay, give treat, brush once give treat, repeat~ That's what I did with my 2nd pup. |

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | I agree treats help. I use half Cheerios. They are small and easy. . .

| I wait until my pup is tired. Whenever your dog is most tired, is the best time to do it, IMO. When he is hyper, there is no chance in hell he will let me brush him. |
