| Crossing over I call it crossing over when a pup reaches the point she knows the rules and boundaries for the house. Ginger crossed over a few days ago, she'll be 18 weeks next Tuesday, she breaks off playing and goes to pad as needed, no accidents. She knows her toys are for chewing, not our fingers, electrical cords or furniture. She has her yoga mat place when we want her out of the way or crate if we leave. She goes into her crate or carrier on command and usually is asleep before we get out the door, she often goes into her soft carrier to nap during the day. Her crate is open during day and she gets her nylabone out sometimes, her hard carrier is her toy box, she brings her toys and trades them all day.She knows her off limits areas, that are invitation only. She is so mature we forget she's just a puppy, lol |

YT 500 Club Member | Izzy crossed over at 6 months. I took it for granted . Because we just got a 4.5 month old ( then 4 months) male I named Toby the Tyrant ( Prof. Sumo Yorkie) and it wasn't until he came home and started terrorizing everything that I realized that somewhere along the way I had done something right and Izzy had become a perfect little lady. Now I just have to hope that she sets a strong enough example for my Sumo yorkie to do the same. Until then it's Toby the Tyrant and his puppy phase chapter of my life. I forgot what work this was, lol |
