| Agression has come out of no where! Help! Hi everyone I have joined for some help, my girlfriend and I brought a Yorkshire terrier as a pup, he is full pedigree and up until about 2/2 and a half he was the most loving dog you could ask for, he lives with my girlfriend and her mum and I lie with my parents, I have visited everyday, about 6months ago he started show little snaps of aggression towards everyone, it got so bad that we took him to a rescue center and eventually took him back because they were worried he would starve himself, they said he suffered anxiety, so since then I have spend the most of the week staying at her house during the day, I work nights so sleep in the day, he showed a lot of signs of improbement, we upped his walk times, kept him occupied, rewarded him and everything seemed to be slowly getting better, but of late he does not like being touched, stroked or anything, even if he asks for attention, ie rubs up against hands once we start to pet him he shows teeth. When my girlfriend and her mum go to work he used to be fine but now he snaps at me at every opportunity, he aggressively lashes out, and locked on to my finger 2 days ago, I attempted to give him a treat and again he went for me growls and everything. I nor my girlfriend or her mum have never struck him and it's getting to the point now that we are thinking that his only chance is rehoming, he used to be agressive towards her mum the most but of late it seems like he has a real problem with me, please help! |

| Have you taken him to the vet? Sudden changes in behavior could be due to an underlying health problem. You may need the help of a professional dog trainer if nothing is wrong health wise.
