| Cat poop eater! Well, i thought my little tyke was almost perfect, and I go into the kitchen, and lo and behold, the light of my life is having himself a feast- in the kitty litter box!! I think I read on YT about this before, and i was wondering if someone could refresh my memory-isn't there something you can put in the kitties food to curb this behavior? By the way, he hasn't dined on his own- as of yet |

| I question my vet about this once and she said if I could find something to deter my dog from eating the "Kittie Treats" that i should let her know because her dogs do it too.....It's something about the protein I think that is in the cat food....because most dogs love cat food and its passed right through to the pooh so therefor the dogs love the "Kittie Treats"....the vet said the only thing that could hurt them is the litter itself..Thank God Zoe has not partaked in the treat thing in a long time however I am trying to convince Lizzy to leave it alone now....she just discovered it!!! YUCK!!! |

| Cat turds are a divine find for any dog! Very yummy! Gross, I know... but some dogs can't help themselves! Its an addiction! But you can try For-Bid or Deter... they make it for cats too.

| EWWWWW. I'm glad that my cats poop in the basement, where doggies don't go! I would not have been too happy to receive puppy kisses from Macey if she had just finished eating cat poop!

| There are pills that will help curb a dog's appetite for eating "poop." It has been discussed here before - and several people said that these pills really do help. Whatever - my dogs do the same thing - And, are you ready - we have horses in a pasture behind us. I don't know if my dogs eat horse manure - but they love it. If it's dry, they run around with it and play with it for hours. And, I definitely know they love to roll in it. As does any other dog who visits my house. It's like they have all died and gone to heaven! Fun fun fun!!! Carol Jean |

| Deter Pills I've been using Deter for a week to get Baby to stop eating her own poop...it's not helping yet!!!! Then neither does the "don't eliminate in this spot spray," the "bitter don't chew or bite this spray," and the "smells like urine to pee in the right spot spray."

Donating YT 14K Club Member | I no longer have my two cats but placed them with a lady that goes to my church. The reason...I had indoor/outdoor cats. The backyard was where they pooped. Cats were always UTD on shots and wormings...Gracie was keeping the backyard clean of poop. Now, with my last litter, my pups came down with a bacterial infection. Had to treat Gracie and the whole litter. When I mentioned the cat poop Gracie was eating, he said it was a good chance that's where the bacterial infection had come from. After munching, Gracie would go in and nurse/clean the pups...gross!

| I had the same problem here with wanting to eat poop of the cat. I simple installed a baby gate. High enough for the dog not to be able to go over and low enough that she could not get under and the cat jumps over. Also you can work the problem out using clicker. Joy |

| I had this problem too!! We got one of the electric litter boxes which helped a little until they learned to open the "treasure" box full of tasty morsels!! YUCK!!! But finally what worked for us was hot sauce directly on the poop and one taste of that did the trick!!!!! Sometimes the temptation is too great and they go back so we get out the hot sauce again and it fix's it again, you end having to do it every so often with some of the more stuborn ones but it's the only thing I found that works well.
