| Hellp!! I literally just got my puppy about 6 hours ago. Since he got here, he's peed so many times on the floor and pooed once. It's his first night here. Should I go ahead and start training him right now? What am I supposed to do about housetraining? Is it possible to train him on the pad and to go outside? |

You should be training him from the time you get him. This way they begin to learn what is ok and not ok from the start. You don't let them do whatever and then try and train them.

| Clean it up very thoroughly to remove potty scent. Make sure you implement potty training right away! Make a designated potty spot, in yard or pad in house frequent trips there with command...take any pooh there and watch like a hawk. Be sure pup has a very limited area to be in so you can both potty and house train easily...the area if free roam only progresses once behavior shows understanding of designated areas...plus puppies chew and wires, etc are serious dangers.
