| Housebreaking and Torn... We have a new 9 week puppy at home...Reagan. She is a doll. So far so good on getting a schedule established, going outside to go "potty", and sleeping in her crate at night. She does soooo well!! What I just read in a 7 Day Training Book, however, breaks my heart. When not playing, Reagan loves to sleep on my shoulder, in the turn of my arm/elbow.....she fits so well and gets so comfortable. Per the book, should we be "confining her to her den" (kiddie fenced in area) much of the day with only 30 min intervals out to play and to interact with us? I swear this weekend....when not playing.....she was in my arms asleep 98% of the time. She really seemed to be content and I loved it!!! Am I setting myself up for failure re: housebreaking by doing this?? |
