| yorkie is standoffish with hubby Dinky is timid, 4-5 months and 2.7 lbs. He is all over me. He will take treats from my husband, but reluctantly. Any good bonding ideas for the two of them? We really don't want the dog to be possessive of me, and we really want him to like Dad too! |

Have hubby play with Dinky, toys, games, have him sit on the floor to do so. Hubby walks Dinky, also grooms him little by little. Get hubby to feed him one meal a day. Maybe breakfast or dinner whatever works in your household. Razzman got used to Dave. initially after bathing Razz I wrapped him up in towels, and cause hubby is so very warm gave him to Dave to hold while I finished setting up grooming area, with blow dryer, brushes, conditioning spray etc. Then Dave began to feed him once a day. When Dave held him after a time I got hubby to clean his ears, to massage him. He became less tentative and worried about hurting Razzman. Now a year and a half later Razzman divides his time between our laps. Sometimes with Dad and sometimes with me. There is a pic posted on my album which shows Dad sleeping with Razz on the bed. And cough cough, nevva my hubby said would we let him up on the bed

| Thanks for the advice. I already have my husband let him out of the crate. So that's a start. As for the walking? Well, that's a work in progress. Dinky has so much to learn. So we do need to be patient too. As for sleeping in the bed? Well, neither one of us wants him aboard until he stops peeing on every blanket he sees! |
