| How do you get him to potty outside only? Our 7-month old puppy's been going on peepads while we're at work and goes outside when we're home. We'd like him to go outside only even when he's by himself so we're thinking about getting one of those doggy doors for our sliding glass doors. Do you have recommendations for a product like that? We need something that would keep out bugs and rodents and stuff like that. Thanks. |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I would love one too. Roxy loves the doggy door we put in our slider screen. It only took a couple days to get used to it. We coaxed her through both ways with treats. Taped up the flap at first so she could get used to just going in & out. Slowly lowered the flap so she could get used to it that way. She soon was going in & out just cuz she could. Now she waits for me to go out or in, so she can use her own door, thank you very much. Too cute! Once she got the hang of it, she quit using the pee pad altogether. It's still there for her if she needs to go when we aren't home or not so we can watch her & the glass door closed. However there are the colder days/nights & winter is coming. I look at the doors for slider door & look at the slider door itself, & I fail to see how it keeps the weather/bugs/little critters out. Guess I need better pictures for it to make sense to me. This will be Roxy's first real winter. She was just a pup last winter.
