| Marking? Max is 3 months old, and lately he's been having to pee numerous times in an hour, even when he's not drinking water. Tonight it was 4 times in 50 minutes. I'm wondering if he's possibly marking, and if he is, how can I stop this? Or am I just having potty training set backs? Thanks in advance! |

| Hm, possibly! Is he lifting his leg? Is he doing this inside or outside? And... get him neutered! Best advice to you! Get it before the marking gets bad! Also, you may want to check with the vet to make sure it's not a medical issue.

| I also just brought a 7 month old puppy home 2 weeks ago. He is definitely not potty trained and we are going through the painful process of doing that. I also have a 5 1/2 yr old Maltese and he is doing what Max is doing. He is neutered and he lifted his leg a few times this week and sprayed urine on my furniture which he has never done before. I was getting very upset as I was cleaning one spot, he is peeing in another spot on the carpet. But then, since yesterday, he has not been doing it and although he is not used to the puppy completely, I think he might have established his hierarchy. Any comments or advise on this? my other yorkie who is 1 yr and 2 months old is fine with the new puppy and they are now best friends. I think this is also upsetting my older maltese as he probably felt he lost his buddy to the new guy. |

| Unfortunately, we were told we couldn't have him neutered until he's six months old. He's doing this inside, but he's not lifting his leg.. he's squatting just like when he pees outside. So I guess we'll just keep up wiht the potty training and hope it stops! Thanks! |
