| Tico is peeing on the floor?? Hi, our dog Tico, who is a year old, generally likes to pee on the floor. He has a pee pad, and he goes outside. He doesn't pee at night on our bed, which he sleeps. He just doesn't seem to get, that he is supposed to go on the pee pad, or outside. The strange thing is, is that we've trained him to poop on the pad, which he does on a regular basis, but won't seem to pee on it???? What the heck is happening with Tico? |

| Tico peeing No, he doesn't pee in the same place. Tico pee's everywhere pretty much, except on his pee pad. Here's what I do when I catch him peeing in the wrong spot. I say"tico, whats this" I put his nose towards it, not directly in it, just close enough for him to smell. I then take him to his pee-pad. At this time, i also have cleaned up the pee with a napkin. I put the napkin on the pee pad. Put his nose near it again, and say good boy. I leave the pee'd napkin on his pee pad. Then I put him in his dog crate, as he has never pee'd there. I put this in our room, where he is cut off from people for about an hour. Any suggestion, what I could do differently? It is obvious, this method I use is not working to well. |
