My Puppy Keeps Eating Bark Outside Our backyard is covered in wood bark and our five month old Yorkie will not stop eating it and enjoy being outside or take care of business while he is out there. Any suggestions? Thanks!

we have bark all in our planters and it never fails Gidget is always running though (kicking it up all over) or munching on it.....what i did to distract is brought out one of my sons balls (the dime store ones that are about 6inches in diameter) anyhow it is not super filled soo she can grab it in her mouth (what a sight) anyhow she just runs all over now with the bal...she thinks it is the greatest thing (she looks like the fake ferrets at the toystore with the balls running all over the ball) anyhoe she still likes the bark but since the balll has come into play it has cut back on the bark action quite alot.

I always carry a toy outside with Ramey and that seems to distract him a little while out there...

| Deegan is the exact same way! He gets so distracted by it. And even if I take a toy or greenie out there - he won't play/chew on them.... only the bark. I heard some types of bark are bad for them. Particulary one that smells like chocolate to them... but that's jsut what I heard - I don't know if there is any truth to it or not. I don't know what it is all about it, but I need help too.

I have to watch mine closely too. They are just like babies and want to put everything in their mouth.
