| Sun is not always fun. So with the nice weather here and looking to stay... I'm tryiny to find safe and fun things for Reign. We usualky go on walks at least 45 min. Reign can go further, but I think he's too little. Anyway... with more nice weather comes more dogs. I would be beyond devestated if another dog attacked Reign. So, I'm thinking walks are out. I was thinking about getting a tunnel and put ball pit balls in it and possibly an agility set. What are some ways people eexercise their dogs daily without walking. Is it enough?

| We rarely walk in our neighborhood anymore, and never with 2 doggies. The park is out too because people ignore the leash rules. We go to an office park to walk. My boys love having a car ride in addition to their daily walks.

YT 2000 Club Member | We live in the country! Plenty of room to roam and walk.....maybe a country stroll or a walking trail would be safe for long walks! When we go camping there is a walking trail around the lake. Their are some dogs but always on a leash!

| Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I am planning on purchasing a bike trailer so I can take Reign with me. However, I am a bit torn because wherever we go, the same problems may exist. When we get there where am I to walk him? In addition, i'd have a bike with a trail and him to look after. Does this sound feasible? Anyone bike ride with their pup?

YT 2000 Club Member | I have a nice basket for my bike that sits on the handle bars. I haven't rode my bike for a long time, but my, Tameka loved to ride there! She was only 4 lbs so I don't know if weight would be a factor for you. They do have a very nice basket that has a zip cover to protect form the elements. It looks awesome and if I decide to "dust" off my bike this summer, I think I will invest in it!

YT 2000 Club Member | She was not much of a walker! She was always so fragile and tiny that she tired easily. When we would go for walks, she always rode in a stroller basket or the seat. We use to call her "Baby" because she always wanted to be carried!

| My 3 1/2 lb, 7 month old puppy loves his bike trailer, but prefers to walk or jog. We go on daily walks for about two miles. And if a see a dog lose or leash I usually pick him up until I can see how much control the owner has. My puppy would go nuts without a walk. He likes the stimulus of a variety of scene walking gives him. |

| We ususally just walk around the neighborhood. It's a dead end street with only 8 homes. I keep them close because there is a bobcat(s) roaming around here and they have been quite at home around the yards. Not constantly, but you never know when they will show up. Needless to say they are never outside without one of us very close by. Since moving to the area we have gone to some parks but I am always afraid they will be hurt. There are also snakes! I am told I worry too much, but these little ones would die from a bite from ANYTHING! I do have a stroller that I used to use with a little fragile yorkie I had with CP, but I know my Libby would not enjoy being in there as she like to walk. If I were to take her in public, like the farmers market this summer I would put her in the stroller. I get so frustrated with people that bring their dogs to public events. I wonder how many get stepped on. |

Fortunately where we live, there are not many other dogs, so this has not been an issue. During the winter (hubby and I both have bad backs and don't get out much in the cold weather) we would play fetch and tug of war with them to get their exercise.

| arrgh ..i get so grouchy when folks dont obey leash laws..it ruins the fun for everyone.. my Alice loves walks and we are in a very urban / city neighborhood so other pups are almost always leashed (or extremely obedient /walking just beside their owners etc) but when the weather is bad: we do fetch in a long hallway -Kong makes teeny tiny balls that she can handle ...or we do a lil trick my tainer taught me where i have her jump up and down off a large pillow... just hold treat in one hand and hold over the pillow UP! and then move the treat(in your hand still) to the floor DOWN! repeat until tired...the jumping wears her out quick! mostly Alice gets plenty of "excersice" just prancing round the house ...its the "mental stimulation" that she needs from walks ...so i am sure to take her with me whenever i possibly can ..even if she is in her bag it is exciting to be out of the house! So car rides and bike rides (we use a basket) and I pop her into her tote bag to run to the drugstore/bank etc are all ways to keep her healthy! xoxo

| Oh I love the bubble idea, Bentley loves to fetch his ball, and frisbee but bubbles would be a nice change of pace. Thanks |
