| Name Confusion... I am getting a yorkie in September. Looks like I might get a girl from my breeder. But I have been thinking about the name "Picasso" for a looooooong time. Do you think "Picasso" can still be used for a girl? |

| The nice thing about dogs is you can name them whatever you want and it won't negatively effect them They won't ever know if they have a silly name! There is a dog at the dog park that is named Hot Dog and none of the dogs make fun of him. I think Picasso is a great name!

| I love the name Picasso for either sex. And remember he had a daughter using that same last name.

| I think it would work for either, too. I would end up shortening the name almost immediately anyway (that's how lazy I am LOL). I'd call her Pic (Peak) or Cass.. My boy is named after my dad. His name is Shelby. Most think of that as a girl's name. My dad has survived almost 70 years with a "girl's name" so I figure my pup will be alright

| We had a female dachshund in rescue named Picasso. It worked for her. She was dappled. I love the name either way. |
