| Pet insurance question Has anyone heard of this insurance? Pet insurance, pet savings and pet services for union members only Union Plus Pet Insurance Program Both links are for the same insurance. Admin and mods, feel free to move this thread if it's in the wrong place.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I haven't heard of it, but from a brief reading it sounds pretty good. Typically, credit unions can give you better deals on certain things because they see their members as lower risk than the general population. I personally would be interested in an insurance like this, it seems to cover against the big things, not the day to day stuff, and it's fairly low cost, also copay is 10%, which is good. I also like what they've written about food, it means they aren't clueless about dogs. You would want to see if it covers against "genetic defects", like LP, but it sounds like a pretty good program to me. Did you also see they have "Veterinarian Discounts for Your Pets", you never, know your vet may already be in the program, and that's just a straight off 25%! Pet health and vet discounts for labor union members

| I really didn't read much. On my phone which I don't navigate well. I was waitin for 45 mins for a meeting to start at work. Just trying to keep busy when our Union rep started passing booklets out. It was mostly human insurance plans but I found a tiny section about pets. I'm not a member of the union so I doubt I qualify for this anyway.

| I can't. I'm just a lowly temp. HR won't let me forget that.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | This temp thing makes me mad, it seems like a cheap way for companies to get out of paying benefits.

| That's why my agency does it. They mismanage money and this way they can save some money by not paying us any benefits.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I don't know how they can get away with it, even the government does it.

| I need the experience to build my resume, and more importantly I need the $$$ to feed a certain furry friend of mine. It's the only reason I stay at this job.
