| My Pebbles gave birth on November 20th... about a week before she seemed like she had an upset stomach... didn't eat much.... or avoided her food completely. The pups had to be taking up alot of space inside her by then. You could give her some chicken... she may eat that. Best of luck ... I am sure she will eat eventually... she may not be feeling well at the moment.

| Bailey was like that and she would not eat for almost her entire pregnancy. I got very scared. I tried everything and I even cooked her steaks, roast beef, ......you name it and she wouldnt eat. I bought some Esbilac to have on hand for the puppies and even fed her that to keep her strength up. I ended up taking her to the emergency vet because I thought she would die if she wouldnt eat. The dumb vet there did an ultrasound and told me she had no puppies. She diagnosed her with pyrometra and said she has to have an emergency surgery to be spayed. I took her in and they opened her up and low and behold there are 5 healthy puppies and no pyrometra. I was not a happy camper. The other vet I took her to the next day told me to give her a half of a tums one or twice a day and that helped. I wrapped it in braunswieger to make her eat it. It seemed to settle her stomache and she did eat a little, but never ate much. |
