| Anybody has the same breeder? Hi I bouhgt me little girls from Petland and I had very good experience in there. First we were actually looking for labradors or goldenretriewers. They had match for both. I liked both, but my older doq, a Lhatese, didn't like at all. That was the first time she ever crowled to somebody. Then next week they had a nice Yorkie and my old dog waged the tail and accepted her. We were sold. My little Yourkie is getting better and better every day. She is good with the people, kids and other dogs. Looks like she don't have the Napoleon syndrom like some other in the breed. Breeder is Dawn Coffman and no bad words. Thank You. |

| I am really glad you found a pup that is perfect for you. Please dont ever buy from a pet store again. They gettheir pups from puppy mills and the mom and pups live in deplorable conditions and alot of times the pups have health problems. Google puppymills and you will see pictures and hear stories. I know you didnt know any better Im just trying to inform you

| This greeder is a well known Unethical Puppymiller, the worst of the worst, she sells her pups to a Broker LAMBRIAR, INC. that was recently shut down...she now sells to another broker (I will get the name for you, its not in my notes) Just FYI. I would be sure to let your vet know that your pup is indeed a puppymill dog.

| Congratulations on your new puppy! It's great that she gets a long well with your older dog. My older dog just tolerates my Yorkies I was trying to figure out if you purchased your puppy at a pet shop, or were asking about the breeder. But I did a quick Google search & figured it out. Apparently, Dawn Coffman supplies various pet shops with various breeds of dogs. I'm not sure if this is the same Dawn Coffman that your pup originally came from. But the Dawn Coffman I found supplies to Petland in Dunwoody. So if this is the same Dawn Coffman, it's pretty certain that your pup came from a puppy mill. If you haven't taken your new pup to the vet yet, I would try to schedule an appointment as soon as you can. With all of the tragedy that goes on inside of those mills, it's likely that your pup may have some health problems. A lot of times, those problems need immediate attention. And if your pup has anything contagious, your older dog could become sick. I'll keep my fingers crossed that this isn't the case. But if you do find out that your new puppy is sick, you've definitely come to right place. There's a lot of information & support on Yorkie Talk for issues like this. Good luck!

| I forgot to post the link where I found that information. It's from petshoppuppies.com. Here's the page showing the details about Dawn Coffman: http://www.petshoppuppies.com/report.asp?ID=71A0800

| Mark and Dawn Coffman are the owners of the Puppymill known as MISTY TRAIL KENNELS and have had several reports over the years of sick dogs with various ailments including parvo. They have been on the radar for sometime.

For those of you who are new to the world of puppy mills, watch some videos and see for yourself why you should go to the breeder's home and visit in person. To the OP, here's one complaint on the Ripoff Report. Quote:

I would also highly suggest looking into pet insurance...it could save you a lot of money in the future if your pup ends up having health issues. Make sure to read the Terms and Conditions and small print closely, and also make sure if that they cover genetic conditions.

| Dawn Coffman I bought a Pomeranian puppy from a fancy tea cup puppies boutique in Fort Lauderdale FL. I thought my puppy was from a reputable breeder since it cost so much. Then I looked online for the breeder and saw these forum. The breeder of my pomeranian is Dawn Coffman. I looked online and found out that it was from a puppy mill called Misty Trail Kennels located in Arkansas, the exact address is 176 Misty Trail, Pocahontas, AR 72455, EE. UU. And this is the phone number I found (870) 647-3433. I did not know I was buying a puppy from a puppy mill. |

| Pet stores can be very deceiving in sometimes saying their puppies come from caring loving breeders. Ok now who exactly is a 'caring loving breeder' that would sell their puppies through a third party, not have a clue where that puppy is going to end up or if it will properly taken care of and to sit on display in some pet store? Some pet stores advertise also 'local caring breeder' same drill whether local or not NO caring loving breeder would ever sell through a third party be it pet store or broker. I know many good show breeders and we do not hesitate to 'refer' an enquirer looking for a puppy when we don't have one available or in my case, I do not ever ship and don't like to sell to anyone any distance away. If I do refer it has to be to someone I know and trust as a good breeder. Time will tell if this pup indeed does stay relatively healthy and adjusted. Unfortunately issues can show up as the puppy grows and matures. |
