| I've always used Johnson's baby shampoo on my pups with good results. Make sure you rinse very well so that no residue is left behind, as it is often shampoo residue that causes skin itchiness & flaking.

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | Baby shampoo is a little harsh on a puppy, go to a pet store and buy a quality puppy shampoo, I use the petco brand and like it, I am a small breeder and I start bathing my babies at 6 weeks a bit early if requiered. |

| I read someplace in the last few months about not using baby shampoo. So what I did was use the shampoo I use on the larger yorkie's. But buy some good shampoo. There is a girl on yt that sells yorkie splash and shine and she makes it. It is a good shampoo. You can even get sample size to try it out and she ships fast. Hope that helps. |

| I don't know where this rumor started...but I've seen it all around too. pH neutral is neutral. If your dog can't handle that...then you shouldn't bathe it at all as water is also pH neutral.

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | what I noticed specific with Johnson's baby shampoo was that my puppies skin got flaky, maybe she had sensitive skin? I don't know, but all that disapeared when I switch to a puppy formula shampoo. since then I use a puppy shampoo for my dogs. |

| Do not use baby shampoo, the reasons have already been mentioned. Get a quality Oatmeal puppy shampoo, at any pet store you can find it, it smells delicious , and it is made for their skin, dogs PH is different from ours, so no human shampoo. I like to use Pet Silk on my adults but usually i use with success the OATMEAL PUPPY shampoo on the puppies, it is also mild to their eyes. I guess any puppy shampoo of a good brand will do the work. XOXO
