No Longer a Member | Looking for a Link to Send... See, I posted an add looking for a groomer for my boy, and a woman posted back asking if he had been altered yet, I said no, but he was scheduled for October since the vet thinks by then most of his baby teeth will be out so he will have to pull the very minimum of teeth. So she responded asking if I would consider not altering him until after he turned 1 so he could breed with her female. I politely told her "no way Jose" and she practically threw a hissy fit with me saying she'd pay me stud fees and I would get "pick of the litter"... I don't understand it, even if it was a consideration for me to ever breed him at all, wouldn't the person that wanted to breed him to her female at least start by requesting papers, health info, size, etc.? She sounds like she hasn't got a clue and I want to slap her with some reality before something horrible happens to her female. I remember a while back I saw a post talking about all the expenses, and stating what all can go wrong when breeding yorkies when you aren't a professional, or don't have a professional breeder by your side helping you to learn all that you would need to know. I'd like to find this post again so I can link it to her and maybe it'll get her to spay her girl and give up on her quest to find a yorkie to breed with. I want to hurry up and find it before she does something stupid... |

| Hmmmm...I would respond to her by saying that you've opted to take the route of a responsible owner instead of backyard breeder. What can you say, some people are clueless. |

No Longer a Member | Yeah, I'm being as polite as possible but she is pushing me to be rude...I'm mostly just worried about her female, for all I know she's going to find an unhealthy male, or a male that is bigger than her female and wind up killing her girl by "playing breeder" I've already referred her to this website, hopefully she'll look around and find information that will give her a clue. Maybe she thinks I'm dumb for not wanting to breed my little boy... |

There's a couple of links in the YT library you can print out and give to her.

No Longer a Member | BAM! Found the link http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...t-breeder.html Sent it to her and told her that I no longer wished to hear from her and hoped that she chose what was right for her pup and not for her desires. Thanks guys, I guess this was sort of a vent, I never thought I'd run into someone that would want me to have my boy breed to their girl. Crazy world, but I know better and don't want any baby mama drama, lol. |

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | Frustrating, isn't it? A neighbor of my mom's approached me about breeding Rhett with her female. It never even occurred to her that there might be a problem with Rhett being 9 lbs and her girl being only 3! I did my best to go over why breeding her girl at all was a bad idea, but was met with a blank stare. I feel bad for her little girl because I know she isn't going to stop until she's done what she wants to do for her own selfish reasons.
