They tied twice and now he is not interested? Hello, I may have a silly question but I need advice. My Male and female tied for me 2 times. I had to help both times. (he is a lil guy and she is larger) They lasted for about 10 minutes each time. Now she is interested and is willing to let him mount her again.. all he does is sniff her licks her and then just lays down. They are both proven breeders and I was just wondering if this is normal? This is my first litter that I am doing all by my self. I am not sure what to expect so please give me advice. I have a lot of experience with HELPING friends breeding but this is my First time bymyself. SHE wants him but he DON'T want her again?

How far apart were the two ties? It could be that the male is just tired or he may sense that the female is going out of heat. What day of her heat cycle is the female on? What days of her heat cycle did you breed them?

She was on day 8 and 9 of heat. The times they tied were about 24 hours apart. Thank you very much for any info. I am confused because it is hime that really don't want her and she waits for him?

With him being little it might be too much for him to breed everyday. I usually just let them breed every other day and sometimes I might breed once and then skip two days if the first tie was a little early. How much does you little guy weigh? If he has been off his food he may be hypoglycemic. I know I read one YT where one person almost lost their little guy from breeding him because he got hypoglycemia while trying to breed a female. Sperm can live up to 5 days so even if you do not get another tie it is very possible she could still get pregnant.

I also need to add that females will 'want' the male all the way through the 21 day of the heat cycle but that does not mean they should be bred that long.

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | Don't leave them together when breeding. Put the together to breed when they are done put them as far away as possible. Sometimes I even have to take the girl out of the house for a few hours before I try to let them breed. I guess my male gets lazy and thinks awww she will be her when I want..lol When he see'e me going out that door with her he goes nuts... when I get back he is ready to go.
