| Temp drop and waiting I had my girl xrayed 10 days ago..we are expecting one pup...but she is SOOOOO big that it is hard to believe...Was anyone ever told that their girl was expecting one and had more????....she is due today. Temp droped to 98.5 for 6 hours now. I am so worried because if this is just one pup it is really big and she is only 5 pounds...her second litter...first was 2 boys 2 3/4 oz and 3oz. What is the largest size pup that you had ever whelped??? |

| I was also told yesterday that my girl will be having only one. We went in for ultrasound and she is 35 days along. The vet wants to do x-ray and go from there. Did your vet mention anything about possible c-section? That is always a possibility. The only advice I can give is to be prepared, and have your vet on call. The vet advised me to not leave her side when she gets close to her due date. Good Luck and keep us posted!

| Keep us posted, i am sure it will be o.k., it may take a little longer to get it all the way out, but hopefully you can assist her to get it through if she gets tired. I was really surprised how fast mine came out when she was actually pushing, hopefully that will also be the case for you. Good Luck, I hope you have a qiuck whelp and a healthy pup!

| Felicity lost the pup..it was too big and got stuck...went to the ER. She is doing well so I am happy about that...I am so mad at my vet..I called her last week and insisted on a csection and she said NO just let her go ...I expressed my concern about the pup being so large and I am just PISSED and upset..now my poor little girl is looking for her baby. |

| I'm so sorry for your loss. I understand your frustration, as I too would be the same way. You may want to start looking for another vet. You could give your girl a little stuff animal and see if that makes her feel better. When I was a little girl, my mom's doberman lost an entire litter. She would still our baby dolls and mother them. It really helped her through the grieving process. |

| I am so sorry for your loss. I understand your frustration but keep in mind the c-section is dangerous also. Most breeders would have done what you did so please don't blame yourself or the vet. Did they have to do a c-section to get the puppy out? I have only had one c-section in 12 years of breeding yorkies and that pup was also a large single pup but the vet was able to save him. How long had she been in labor and pushing before you went to the vets? |

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | Oh, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your singleton pup. Losing a newborn has got to be so sad and to have it be the only one is just that much worse....for you and for Felicity. Hugs to you and Felicity, I hope that you both will feel better soon.

| I am really sorry too. Life is so fragile, I feel really bad for your momma as she is looking for her baby. Please remember that you still have Felicity, which is not always the case, so you have something to be thankful for. I hope you all start feeling better soon.

Please don't beat yourself up over this. It wasn't your fault. I lost a puppy in March after it lived 2 days. I know how bad it feels. Just be thankful that you still have your mama dog and that there is no telling what the future holds. | |

| I am sending my Thoughts and Prayers to you and Felicity over the loss of her single puppy. I know it's hard right now, But, You still have Felicity and Thank God for that. You did everything right. Your Vet should've listened to your concerns. I would speak to him about how you are feeling and change Vets. IMO... Hugs to you all... :hug :R.I.P. little baby...
