| I have a ? Okay so my Yorkie just went through her first heat, she is just over a year old. I have put off fixing her for who knows what reason. I kept her completely seperate from my two boys the whole time. She is back to normal but she is exhibiting some unusual behavaiors. Her nipples are very swollen but her abdomen doesn't look any different and I am not sure if it is far enough along to even tell if she is pregnant...not that I am sure how she would have got that way in the first place as she was NEVER unsupervised. The other signs I have read do not seem to point to pregnant either as her vagina is back to a normal size. She has also started humping the two boys....she has occasionaly done this in the past but now it is almost a constant. I just wondered if any of this was normal or if I should be concerned.

| It could be false pregnancy...my bulldog goes through that after her heat cycle. |

| I'm sorry I don't know the answer to this but I wanted it to come back up so someone else would see it. Good Luck!

| Please go ahead and make that appointment to get her spayed so she doesn't go through another heat. If you had had her spayed before she ever came into heat you would have eliminated her chance of ever getting mammary cancer. You can still keep that risk low (only 8%) if you get her spayed before she comes into heat again. If she has that second heat, her risk of mammary cancer jumps to 25%. You'll also never have to worry about an accidental pregnancy again. |

| If you are absolutely, positively, completely, 100% sure that she and the boys never tied because they were NEVER unsupervised, then why would you even question if she is preggers? I would think that IF that is the case, it is more than likely a false pregnancy. |
