YT Addict | What is a parti? I saw someone say they had a parti and I don't know what that is. I know they look like biewers but what's the diff in the two? |

| Basically...the Parti is a yorkie that is mostly white with some black and tan markings on the head and body and no standard as to where the colors must be placed. You dock the tail of a Parti and they are registerable with the AKC as a color variation of the Yorkie but can't be shown. The Biewer originated in Germany, it is from 2 standard Yorkies but Mr. Biewer wrote a standard for the colors and where they should fall on the dog. The Biewer keeps it's tail and they are not recognized by the AKC...they are still registered in Germany or in one of the many American Biewer registries. The Biewer can be shown in several rare breed venues including IABCA, NAKC and ARBA. Last edited by my2boyz; 05-02-2008 at 05:50 PM. |

Now knowing that, I think I want a parti instead of a biewer, because I don't care if it is the right color where, I just like that they are multicolored! | |

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | There is no stardard for Parti's and they cannot be shown. Is one white leg a parti or a color anomaly? Biewers have their own standard, there is no tail docking, and they can be shown in the show ring. My preference is of course for the biewer--where I can anticipate what they will look at as an adult. My website shows puppies and Biewers of various ages. Where can you find parti's of all ages?? BTW there are new pictures of the puppies on the website. |

| You're welcome sheilajom and cdawnfine. Both the Partis and Biewers are beautiful...the important thing is to find a good breeder who will be there for you before, during and after you purchase your perfect puppy. Be sure to do your research when you start looking. There are a lot of 'breeders' out there but some seem to be more interested in marketing and sales than anything else. |

| Usually the larger males are sold for a little less (either already neutered or sold on a neuter contract) but the others are anywhere from about $2,000.00 for a pet quality to 4 or 5 thousand for a good quality show/breed Biewer or Parti. Last edited by my2boyz; 05-03-2008 at 09:32 AM. |

For that price I hope this pup scoops his own poop. LOL All kidding aside. You should be able to find a beautiful healthy Pet puppy priced $2000 -2500 Yes the Biewers are more on the exspensive side... However, you shouldnt have to mortgage your home to obtain a beautiful Healthy puppy for pet! And for that price you should exspect.. full Health screening and guarantee, Health cert, Microchipped, lifetime return policy.A breeder who is willing to assist you over the puppies lifetime. And one heck of a puppy package loaded with some wonderful goodies to help get your puppy off to the right start. Also an iron clad contract that protect the (buyer)client as well as the breeder. Best Wishes on finding your perfect forever pup. Jan

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | I know of several older biewer females--about a year old--that are ready to be placed for just that reason--didn't get big enough to be breeders. PM for further details. |
