| A lot of people roll the cost of shipping into their product, so when the buyer sees free shipping or very low shipping they are getting a deal. I would really suggest to make your items a bit on the higher end. It is custom afterall. People can tell quality, and don't mind paying a bit extra for it. If you have higher quality, and a bit higher price, you can add your shipping in that, and then offer "free shipping". Even though I've sold a lot online, the shipping cost can still be a deal breaker for me. Also, since you are shipping doggie clothes which are pretty small, you can probably fit them into a flat rate envelope, and those ship within the US for $4.95 (unless of course they have raised the rate AGAIN since I last used one). The flat rate envelopes don't have to be literally flat. As long as they close the way they are supposed to, you can use the flat rate envelope. Only use the flat rate box if you have something more heavy. I believe the Small Flat Rate box is $5.45. Not bad at all.

| 2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | USPS flat rate with tracking # for a padded envelope or small box is only $5.15 if I ship form home. It is what I normally use on ebay. Esty has better user cost, ebay charges more and a % of the shipping cost. Crazy ! So Esty it is . .. .

| I have no other advice for you Dawn but I think Priscilla and Heather gave you some great advice! Good luck on your new venture and I "liked" your FB page.

| 2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | Yes, Lori I saw that, thanks ! I am off to a great start on Etsy. I am in the process of getting all of my item listed so that I can open/publish my shop and have everything ready all at once.
