My puppy has very poor leash walking habits. She is primarily indoor puppy and is pee pad trained. So we mainly walk with her when it is a nice weather outside. As a result, she is extremely bad about walking on the leash - she constantly pulls on her harness and then she starts choking and coughing severely especially if she sees another dog or human. I have tried all different harness for her; she even had buddy belt. But with every single harness, she would still choke and cough when she was strongly pulling on it. I went through every store and every website and really wanted to find a soft harness that would have no contact with her neck at all. Vel*Pro mesh harness ended up being my savior. It's very soft and has no contact with her neck. Since I purchased it, my puppy does not choke or cough at all when she pulls as most pressure is applied around her legs. Plus, Shinja has great customer service! This is by far the best harness on the market if you dog has poor leash walking manners! I highly highly recommend getting this harness - worth every penny and avoids collapsing trachea.
