| I have waited to post a response since I was unsure how I felt about the product at first. With all the good reviews I was expecting a miracle, which was a mistake (obviously it can't be perfect). I noticed little difference between the softness of his fur after using Yorkie Splash & Shine vs Buddy Wash/Rinse. On a good note he stayed smelling good for 4-5 days instead of the usual 2-3. But, the difference is quite big in prices for what it lasts, and after 2 baths we have used a lot of the bottle (it's like 1.5-2 inches down from the bottom of the cap), while Buddy Wash lasts me over 6 months WITH washing other large dogs. That being said, I am unsure I will buy this product again NOT because it doesn't work, I loved the results, but the price is a little too high. I know that Sarah makes it herself so obviously she can't compete with the prices of other shampoos as easily. Maybe the bigger bottles will be a better deal. Also, the shampoo texture is like water so it is really hard to make sure not to waste any. I may continue to buy the product again depending on how long this lasts, what the prices are in the future, and if I continue to be happy with the results. I know everyone else was raving about this product and I was hesitant to post this because of that.

Of course, I can't learn what will make it better unless someone speaks up. No, I can't compete with the prices of major manufacturers. if I sell it at cost to me, then I don't make any money for the hours upon hours I spend mixing and bottling. So, for now at least, the prices are the best I can do. And, as far as using so much per bath, it is hard to know for sure how much you need to use until you use it, but you really don't have to use very much to get a good lather. I know that MiYorkieLover (I think that's her name on here - Jackie in real life) says the opposite, you don't have to use as much as with regular shampoo. But, everyone's tastes and styles of washing are different, too. She buys a set about every 5 months or so from me. So, $20/5 months for 1 yorkie is about $4 a month or $1 per week (just trying to put it in to a different perspective). As far as coat differences, I was honestly impressed that so many people noticed an immediate difference. It has been my experience that most Yorkies don't show a real difference in coat texture and shine until after about a month of use (though, some I have tried it on did certainly have immediate results). Thanks so much for the comment! ![]() Oh and to friscomom "Well, maybe I'm the last to hear. Is it tearless? Does it help at all with puppy tangling? Can the conditioner be used as a 'leave in' type of thing maybe, and do the dogs like the smell, and why is there only pink, and will i be able to lay off with the comb already? Frisco wants to know... " I have noticed a big difference in tangles being reduced since using it. I haven't tried the conditioner as a leave-in, but I am working on a detangler / coat conditioner. Do dogs like the smell? I'm not sure if they LIKE it, but I know none I have tried it on have seemed to not like it (if that makes sense, LOL). The bottles are actually red (the new bottles I ordered are red for shampoo and red for conditioner) - but they look pin with the white conditioner in them. I am attaching a pic of what the new ones "should" look like (but with different labels this time around, too). The conditioner will look about the same (just a different label).

| Thank you for the details, WalnutHill. I would be interested in trying this product because it sounds gentle, but I would be very interested in a sample size, or coupon code some time, since there are so very many doggie hair products recommended, and I am very new to the scene, and it doesn't come in hazel yet At the frequency I intend to bathe my yorkie friend, your bottles should last at least a good year or two, but there's kind of a need to settle on a product first before making such a commitment! |

| ♥ Catherine My Love ♥ Donating Member | I am waiting for new supplies, but as soon as I get them and the new bottles are ready to send out I will post a new thread about samples or a discount or something (haven't decided what yet). I'll let everyone know, for sure.

| I finally got to use the shampoo today..Max is so soft and he smells so yummy! I was a little surprised at the consistency of the shampoo..not what I expected. It was more "watery" than other shampoos so be careful when turning the bottle over to get shampoo out.

| I tried it on Chloe and Dylan today and they both look, feel and smell wonderful. Their coats are so soft and shiny. I pick them up all the time and want to smell them....LOL they are not too happy with me right now. Oh and also, this was the first time they didn't really mind the bath! I think they found the shampoo and conditioner soothing.

| It worked great for my silky girls. Made Mimi & Princess so soft & gave their hair body/volume. I didn't like the 'oil' smell from the shampoo...but love the conditioner smell. After bath scent w/both is wonderful! For my cottony & modified boys, I prefer using their regular shampoo. Momo's hair is very thick & cottony & it made him into a puff ball lol. He's soft & smells delish, but I didn't like the volume it creates for his type of coat. Turbo has a modified coat & tangles very easily (he moves & he'll get a mat somewhere lol). It made him soft, but his coat looked fuzzy & there was no shine. Overall, I like that it's all natural ingredients. W/continual use, I think it will clear up dry, problamatic skin. My hand felt so soft after giving all 4 a bath. Usually, I need to slather on some hand cream, but didn't need it. Thanks Sarah!

Remind me not to visit you! ![]() Well today we tried Yorkie Splash for the first time. I was very pleased with it. At first I thought I would have to use a ton of shampoo since it is a watery consistency but a little makes such a rich lather--I went ahead and gave the furballs a little massage while they were lathered. It was very easy to rinse out too! I liked that! The cream rinse was easy to rinse too. All in all I really like the product and will definitely continue to use it. My hubby liked the smell too. We give it 2 Great Job, Sarah!
