| Fundraiser sales aren't selling anything. Why? Suggestions appreciated!!! Fellow YT'ers: Tucker and I are wondering why we haven't sold anything from our recent sales. Is it the prices? Do you need better descriptions & more details? Do you want more pictures of each product? We would love to be able to donate as much as possible to our shelter, but that requires that the things we have for sale are actually bought. Our last sale has had over 100 views and nothing has sold, and yet I see other sales with things flying out the door. We're confused , please help We would love to make the changes you suggest to make our sales successful We just need to know what those suggestions are first

| Hello and thank you for your question. I don't actually have a website or anything like that. Myself and my yorkie are just trying to raise some money for our local shelter by selling some of the new things we have that we purchased and never used. We thought doing a fundraiser sale would help us to get rid of the things we don't need AND help our local shelter. Unfortunatly our sales haven't been very successful. Any suggestions you could offer would be much appreciated Our sale is posted in the yorkie classifieds section under yorkie products for sale. Here is the link to the thread: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=122328 Thanks for taking a look!

| I think what your doing by donating the proceeds to your shelter is great. I don't know why your stuff isn't selling, it all looks nice. The only thing I can think of is maybe the price. I don't know if you could afford to lower the price's a little but if you could maybe then they would sell faster. I do think it has to do with your sale being around Easter and everyone having other expenses in relation to that holiday to pay for. Good Luck.

| There are lots of sale threads going on, and people don't seem to be spending as much lately.

| A few things I have noticed on YT. Those with a catchy thread title get the most views, you need to find a way to grab attention to get people to look at your post. Second is that all though your intentions are good people in general need to see what they are contributing too, so I would suggest maybe takeing a picture of you and Tucker outside the Shelter or inside the Shelter with some of the residents that you are trying to help, remember the saying a picture is worth a thousand words. I honestly do not think it is your price I just think you need to think outside the box to grab as much attention as you can. Start a new thread with a catchy title and start off with a great picture than post the product. Good Luck |

| I think it's great that you are donating to your shelter too. One thing I've noticed is that boy items are harder to sell than girl items. Dresses will sell faster and for more money than a boy shirt/vest. People just seem to want to buy more and will spend more on the girls. I also noticed that some of your items are from Walmart. $10 is a great price if you can't find it locally, but most people can find those at their walmart for $7 or have it shipped to their local store for free from walmart.com I like to see a good description of the item when I buy..I like to know the brand, size, and measurements. Good Luck
