to bad we can't email are buddy back and forth with it being a secret somehow. Try to get to know are buddy better before we buy for him/her

Well, with the state specific items... I would NOT want anything with the Packers on it!

I'm afraid that item would have an early burial!

Sorry, but our Vikings and the packers are not exactly what you would call friends.

And yes, Amber DID drive me crazy last GE but it was really fun. I won't give away her secrets though...

There are some sellers here on YT that have gift certificates....

Great idea! Except like the others have said, I'd avoid any certain teams (either college or pro) and stick with state only stuff.

And it's perfectly ok to let the vendors know who you have. I know I've been told before & can always keep a secret! And in the last GE, I shipped out a couple of blankets direct to the buddy...along with a note that said that it was being sent from a secret buddy...so having it shipped direct is ok too. But most people want to send all of their stuff in one box, so they have everythign sent to them & then they send to the buddy.

Heehee... I was going to post a similar note. If you do sports teams specific to the area, you might make sure you pick the right team!

If unsure, you could always recruit a partner in crime to help you out.

I thought of this because we are sports nuts, but our state is divided as well when it comes to college teams. Go K-State!

I was going just going to mention you marci when I read this thread! Marci was our GE buddy, she gave us this BEAUTIFUL fleece blanket that she made in Canadian print. Still haven't gotten it b/c its at my house in Cali. buuuuuut when she put that blanket up as one of her hints, all i was thinking 'OH COOL would that be to get that from someone in Canada!!!' She even made a pciture frame with a pic of kikko, which was wonderful b/c i didn't have any pics framed yet (digital pics, so lazy to get em printed i swear. lol) and sent me pics with the stuff she sent to TW for me ... it was amazing!!

Really I think the personal touches are just hte best and sooo sweet. the extra thought pple put in the presents were beyond my expectations. I just love YT'ers!!!

Those are some great ideas. If you do have a buddy far away and don't want to ship a large item, I think gift certificates are great!! You could probably talk with some of the store owners here and they'll give you a code or something. I actually thought of that and put a gift certificate on my site. I'm only making harnesses so you can ship them, but yeah, I think it's a great idea!! They could also then choose what they wanted!!

That's a good idea! Admin could put an email address as an option on the sign ups. They would have no idea what YT member you were! (unless you'd emailed them before)

State specifics are great! We love getting things from other states/countries. We sent our SB a little box that was in the shape of Texas and said "Somebody in Texas

You". That is pretty generic and not offensive like a team if you happened to pick the wrong one!

If you could find out your SB's favorite team, you could also have something made for that. I have most of the teams available or can monogram the name on the back of the shirt made into the team colors. Maybe we should start a thread asking everyone in the GE to list their favorite school or professional team/sport with colors and numbers if applicable!

I have tennis, bowling, nascar, football, baseball, college all available. They can be made for male or females. If i don't have it, i can probably get it or monogram it. We can definitely keep a secret too!
