Scrapper Okay I am a scrapbooker. I make really nice hanging shadow box pages in a frame. Everyone I have made them for literally cries when they see it...I try to adjust to the persons personality...like a playful page, more meaningful page...memorial pages, etc. anyway how could I pull this off for the exchange being I need a few pics of the the persons dog, but I am not supposed to tell the person I have their name right? I thought of looking for pics posted on here but most do not have enough quality because they had to be made smaller to fit on the site......Any suggestions??? |
See if they post in the gallery or their photo album. Those don' t have to be resized. I think that's a cool gift. I love to scrapbook, too. I am making a scrapbook for Papi and am sending to him for his birthday next month. |
Addict oooo im such a scrap addict. Since getting my small bundle of hell on wheels Diggy, I have not been able to scrap....Im driving my family crazy cuz they 1~ love to see pics of themselves scrapped (not vain at all lol) and secondly I still go to the scrapbook store once every week or 2 and pick up the latest products....they are piled up on my scrap desk at home lol DO you go crazy in the stores and have to have all the latest products or do you have yourself under control?? I am WAY outta control with it. I have every cutter and tool imaginable some still in the box just HAD to have it tho....lol |
I have to get a regular fix, but I don't have to get all the latest toys and gadgets. I don't need to -- my most excellent friend gets everything and I share hers!:D Her hubby bought her a Cricut for Christmas last year and I think she has the majority of the fonts already. She's a wild woman. She did get me to get both a little and a bigger Xyron though. Can't do a scrapbook without 'em! |
I love paper crafts as well, and when I need photos for a GE I look for bigger versions in the albums/gallery. You can always sneak around and get someone to request the photos for you, too! :D |

It's more of an illness than a hobby for my friend and I, I think.:D We have a another set of friends that we scrapbook with regularly and we have such a good time. I haven't gotten to do much of it this year, and I'm SO far behind. (Still working on my 2004 book.) In fairness though, since 2005, I've made about 10 smaller books as gifts for birthdays and a wedding and it's just so time-consuming. I really love it though! My friend got me started in 1998. Back then, there wasn't much stuff and when you told people about it, they looked at you like you had just landed from Mars. :p Now, the stuff is everywhere and everybody does it or at least knows someone who does.:D |

Why not see if Admin would have your GE buddy send pictures to them. I believe in one of the GE's, Admin wanted us to attach pictures....so, in this case, you can just see if Admin could get with your GE buddy and tell them that bigger pictures were needed...do you think that would work? Scrap addict :) WOW lots of scrappers in here! I am such a bad bad freak about it. I have been at it for about 8 years now.....I have the sizzix (big and lil) Quik Kutz, Cricut, scraparatus, crop-a-dile, you name it I have it...not that I need it or even use it, but I just see it and buy it. My scraparatus is stil lin the box :eek: Paper....thats my weakness....I have soooooo much stinkin paper. We should have a yorkie crop meet! lol Bella loves to sit and watch me scrap...especially when I work on her albums....:p We should post some of our pages on here in off topic.... I love looking at others pages.... |
Ohh and I bet admin could help out with getting pics...i never thought of that Good Idea!!!!! |

Wow theres alot of scrapbook fanatics here. My screen name is scrappymomma because of that... it was my name on another baord (scrapbooking) so to make it easy for me to remember I just used the same. Its funny though some people here thought I had or have a dog named "Scrappy" . HAve any of you ever been involved in swaps? It would be fun to do a dog theme swap here amongst us. If anyone is interested Id me more than happy to host it and explain it. Ive done a bunch and its always fun to do....just a thought ;) |

Believe me Kay, if I can do it, anyone can! :D And there are so many cute doggie books and items now ... you need to do one for Jaxon! I was the kid who hated arts and crafts in school. And before I started scrapbooking in 1998, the idea of taking scissors to a photo was sacrilege to me.:eek: But I have a very dear friend who got me started and as a result have made a few more really good friends. Lot of fun. Good group activity or something you can do on your own. |
