I want to but I am in the middle of moving an d got to donate first and POST a LOT more to get to 200 post. So for me it will more than likely the next one
I hope I can do as well as you all do... Where I live the nearest pet store is 2 hours away. lol

If you want to get post counts up go to the game forum. You can get your count up quickly. . Two hours! Wow! That's crazy!

I wouldn't sweat it. I order most of my things online and maybe make 1 trip to the pet store so you'll definitely be fine

Don't be afraid to join. In fact joining a GE is a fantastic way to get to know a member better. I participated in several GE's then YT got so big and the GE's became so elaborate that it lost a lot of the "funness" for me.

I was really thinking about doing it but with Strudel's birthday coming up I just am so busy getting stuff ready. I think I am going to wait for a haloween or Christmas/Hanukkah (my yorkie is jewish) GE, I've never done one and want to be a part of one of the bigger ones. Sounds so much fun, one of the reasons why I joined YT was to follow the GEs lol and oooh and ahhh over everyone's lovefests even before I had Studel!

That would be really cool to have a Jewish yorkie in the December GE. I don't think we had one last year. I am already thinking up of so many cool things to do if we had you as a secret buddy! lol

The GE's are a blast...and I think what I underlined from Cindy sums it up for a lot of us. This is one reason I am only going to do 2 a year. It is way to extravagant now for me to do 4 a year.

I so agree with you. I considered joining this one and thought better of it. I had so much fun when I first joined and did the GE but I don't know with an ailing Boxer, 4 year old and my sweet Georgie if I would have time to match what I have seen on these GE's the past few times. My first gift exchange was in 2007 I believe and people in the gift exchange now would probably return to sender what I sent LOL. BTW I like spending money so it wasn't cheap just nothing like it is now. I will sit this one out and think about the next one when it comes around.

I am signed up this time. I am just going to do my best to have fun with it and try to spoil our SB. Hopefully they will enjoy what we do.

I know that the GE's can be lots of fun but they can also be stressful and expensive.

I was not trying to downplay anything that had been said before me.
I was just saying that I was making a conscious effort to have fun this GE.

They are tons of fun but yes they can get expensive. . That's why I am limiting myself on how many I do. I won't lie, it is hard not to go and sign up! But I want to give my all on the ones I do. The Christmas one was fun! I was not offended by your statement. But do think your words are kind if anyone was.

I've thought about joining and decided the entire process requires more than I can give. Things have changed so much with the GE, the fun is lost for me now with all of the expectations. What used to be a simple, fun exchange of a couple of gifts, and getting to know another member, has turned in to a cumbersome, almost competitive event, that caused me more stress than fun. Between the shopping, wrapping, packing, mailing, hint and thank you threads, thank you Smileboxes/videos, pictures, overall costs, doubting I've been generous enough, and finally the inevitable "someone not being done right" and subsequent complaint threads, the magic of the GE is gone for me.
