I agree!! I may be making enemies with what I have to say, but as someone recently said to me....I stand for what I believe in, even if I stand alone.

Here is my opinion. Deb should have found a way around her problems and posted a thank you or let Theresa know what was going on. She didn't. Which is why she posted a sincere heartfelt apology. For Theresa to take that apology and call Deb a loser and throw it in her face is awful.

There are more important things in the world than a "thank you" on a GE thread. Let's keep in all in perspective. I think Theresa has blown this way out of proportion.

I also think the bully tactics and lynch mobbing is completely wrong. :( I guess a lot of people are out for blood at this point and won't stop until they get it. VERY disappointing. :thumbdown :thumbdown

I am a loser. If I do.something wrong I have no problem admitting.it. I am SO SORRY for not thanking you approiately for.the.wonderful gifts.that you.sent Annie!! Everyone.of them had so much thought put into.them. Annie really loved.the.purple shirt with.her.name on it. She wore it at.the hospital all the while time she was.there. I know it gave her.an extra.hug and strength
To get better. I sure hope.this.doesn't spoil it for anyone wanting to join. This site is.full of wonderful loving people that are.here.and I have learned so much from them. I can't wait to share.with you the amazing stuff we received. As promised Riley and Theresa you will have the approperate thank you. Words.can't express how.sorry I am for.causing.this.mess.Pp

At think point, I think what's done is done.
Whether it anyone's goal or not, I can almost guarantee Deb will not be coming back. Which is too bad considering I think she is a good person that got stuck in a sh*tty situation.
So bravo, I suppose...

My mind does begin to wonder though, if someone else went through this situation. You know maybe a long contributing member, or hell even me. Meaning their dog ate prescription pills, or got really sick, would so many be so apt to belittle her and her character the way that some people have?

Once again, I reference my other post that nothing excuses not getting a proper thank you, nor do I think that Deb handled the situation properly. But that's so frickin' easy for me to say because I'm not Deb, and I don't know what's going on with her life right now. All I know is that she was a gem in the last GE, always been supportive many of you who have had sick or injured fur babies, and deserves at least enough compassion to explain what happened without getting thrown to the wolves.

This is a Thread, started by ME to DEB…….. Deb made her response on the Thread, instead of PMing or leaving me a message on my Page..... so I then made my response on the Thread... The Thread could have Stopped right there but You had to chime in and put your two cents in, which began blowing it out of proportion... Plain and Simple, I have the right to feel the way I feel…. And I don’t really care what You or anybody else thinks about it.

Now, is the thread going to Stop, here.... or do you want to continue blowing it out of proportion...?!?!

No one is asking for a stoning just that the rules be properly followed.

The GE is voluntary and we all sign up knowing the rules. We expect them to be followed which they were not.

After more than one GE that has gone bad, this is the reason that I no longer participate and I can't imagine what the next GE will look like after yet another GE gone bad :(

Please start a thread in the YT Gift Exchange Forum after you have received your gift so that your Gift Giver knows that you have received the goodies. It shows your buddy that you appreciate it and also lets us know that you received your gift so we know who or who did not receive their gifts. This is a requirement of participating in the Gift Exchange. We also require members to post at least three pictures in the Thank You thread as well, as members like to see the gifts being received, as some say that's the best part of our Gift Exchanges.

The box was acknowledged on the 8th, via PM... but no Thank You even then, in the PM. There was a log in on the 9th and the 10th... with still No Thank You!

Jodi, she said that her computer broke and had another member post a temporary thank you thread. Believe or not, many people only have one computer. She posted this apology:

Yet you people are still stirring the pot and wanting her banned. Many of us think she did all she can be expected to do at this time. She said she would have an appropriate thank you, and yet you’re saying that this isn't enough. I think there's something more going on here than a missed smiliebox.

I understand you wrote the thread to Deb, and I think it's appropriate she responded in the thread not just on your page. I think you could have written her privately if you wanted her private response, so I'm confused why you think she shouldn't have responded here.

I'm just confused to even why you wanted to be in the GE? Wasn't it to make new friends? Something goes wrong, she can't give you a prompt thank you, and she gets 7 pages of bashing?

Nancy, Theresa said basically the same thing to me. If anyone posts here and agrees with her, she is fine with that. If you don't agree with her then you shouldn't be allowed to post here??? This is a PUBLIC thread on a PUBLIC forum. Get real.

I'm still in shock at her response to Deb's sincere and heartfelt apology. Who does that??? :confused:
