bummer Riley. not good. sorry you didn't gets da smilebox. please don't let this spoil it fur you. you could get sumbudy like linda and shilo and it will make your year. takes a little bit out of the fun tho if your buddy doens't appreciate the work. however you never know, could be circumstances... anyway sending a thank you your way cuz I had fun wid youz posts. :kiss::kiss::kiss::kiss: |
I am so sorry that you have not heard from your buddy. Hopefully they will post one yet. :( Don't let this stop you from participating in the next one. Hope it all ends up working out for you. |
You need to contact ADMIN and let them know. It's a requirement that you give a proper thank you and post a thread acknowledging the gifts. :( |

This is unacceptable GE behavior. A smilebox is practically an unwritten rule. I'm sorry Theresa -- You and Riley deserve better. |
I agree that it is unacceptable behavior. I did finally publicize the name of the person after conferring with a few other YT members. I think we have a right to know who is "ruining" it for those that are serious participants. |
Thanks, All!! I also believe that this is unacceptable behavior. I once again used several of the YT vendors and I know that they have also been waiting to see their gorgeous creations and the reactions to them. I have alerted Admin. If there is nothing down then I unfortunately won't be participating again. |

Last summer was my first GE, and I tried to just follow others and learn from how they were doing it. Maybe Admin could ask an older member to "mentor" the members who have been here less than six months to help them through their first GE? I have not participated since then bc I have had a lot of health problems, and I just was not sure if I was going to be well and able to participate or sick in bed. I figured it was not fair to my buddy in case I got sick during the GE. I would wait until my health was a little better. -- Another idea is maybe there could be a "disclaimer", so to speak, to have ppl make sure their calendar is free during the time of the GE and that they are capable of meeting the "obligation" of being someone's buddy timewise? I realize unplanned things do happen, but sometimes these problems seem to stem from lack of planning. It seems like they are excited to participate in a GE and do not think about what it will entail to be a good buddy. It is so sad to see such nice, generous ppl feel so unappreciated and uncared for as a result of a GE. |
This flat out sucks. I'm sorry Theresa, I hope you still participate in more GEs. Hopefully, your buddy will get it in gear and participate. :( |
