ok so we are just about ready to mail out our package! We have just ONE MORE thing to pick up from the store (its a personalized item for Mommy!).

Well our package is officially shipped! Max wanted to model a few shots of his FIRST GE send off package! He is so proud! We hope his buddy LOVES his goodies!!!

Robin, I think Max is really saying, "Touch this box and I'll reinvent the knuckle sandwich!" I think he's guarding the loot so you don't take it away...LOL

He has the most beautiful eyes! I think it every time I see a photo but don't know if I've ever mentioned it. By the way, is that one of the bows you made? Super cute!

Thanks for the comment on his eyes. I think he is a beautiful dog. He is FILTHY right now (and in the pictures). He hasn't had a bath for like 2ish weeks at least... I know its, time. I will be doing that soon so that he doesn't look so disheveled in his GE pictures.

As for the bow, yes I made it! I have been working more with sewing them and I wish I had more time to make them. When school is out, I will be able to work more on altering clothes and making bows, etc. I really enjoy it.

I was thinking more in terms of a "reinvention" of the knuckle sandwich...as in him chomping down to feast on whoever's knuckles are on the hand that reaches for the beautifully wrapped box! Max is no dummy...he knows there's some good stuff in that box...LOL

Hope you have a great Memorial Day weekend! I hope it's not too busy for your hubby...bet he "dreads" holiday weekends and never gets them off.

Now, we're finally off to mail our box. It got soooooo heavy for some unforeseen reason...LOL My DH thinks it's going to cost a bundle to ship it but we'll see. I may ask him to leave the store after he carries it in for me...LOL...no reason at all for him to know shipping costs. He already is confused as to why it's not going to KY...LOL...I tried to explain but finally just gave up. (I don't think he's ever been in any kind of secret buddy thingey.)

However, I can already see "real" problems if Taffy ever gets an international buddy...eek...probably need a bank loan to ship the stuff...LOL...

The worst thing about the box is that I decided to "repack" it differently and now that it's taped up, there are 2 items that I cannot (at all) recall repacking. I don't see them anywhere around where I repacked the box but I sure don't recall putting them back in there! Since I overdid the taping, I won't know until our SB opens the box and tells what was in it whether I did put those 2 things back in. I declare! I thought I was helping by repacking so that stuff wouldn't shift, etc. and now I am befuddled about a couple of things I have no memory of...LOL

Oh well, this may be a "surprise" box for us, too!

I can't decide if this is just a normal example of my wild and crazy ways or if I'm getting a bit senile in my old age...LOL Thank goodness a sense of humor doesn't have to evaporate with age. (This really is playing tricks on me though....I have absolutely no recollection of repacking those two things yet I can't find them anywhere. However, while I was looking for them, I did find two other things I'd misplaced...LOL...Better cue the music from "The Twilight Zone")

Just revisited your thread to see your photos again. Great idea to photograph the package before shipping...really amps up the suspense.

We used an Amazon box, too!

Can't wait to see what's inside all those packages. You really took some time to get your box ready...no wonder poor Max was so interested!

Taffy would have snatched the paper, run off with it, and shredded it into microscopic pieces all before I had a chance to react. I guess she has some advantanges having older parents...LOL
