Donating YT 500 Club Member | Does anyone know the statistical breakdown of the gift exchange? How many signed up and how many were male, etc.? I know I could handle the data myself but I am flat on my back with a rather bad attack of vertigo. Just trying to stay focused long enough to find out if our name is male or female. If no one knows, that's okay. I'm just trying to stay awake by "thinking" up things to wonder about...LOL I don't know why in the world I want to know the minute it's posted anyway since I can't do anything about it tonight. No way can I shop online with this nausea and the room spinning. No more typing tonight for me...guess I'll learn tomorrow unless I wake up in the middle of the night less dizzy. Good night post watchers...been a long day, huh? |

| Sorry you are having to endure a vertigo attack! I am anxious about the GE too. I signed on and had a PM from Admin titled: Re: YT Gift Exchange Sign Up. I clickd so fast almost broke a nail. But it was only saying they had my address and would send the SB name and info within 3 days of the end of sign-ups. I guess they are going to take every minute of those 3 days. Just trying to keep the suspense going, I'll bet! As far as the break down of how many and how many boys..... There are 27 boys and 36 girls for a total of 63 secret buddies! (If I counted right).

| interesting.. but I am sure they have had an uneven number before.. and as long as we do not get our own.. I am sure it will work out..we might have our names by tomorrow,, I went through each post but was looking to see how many larger yorkies were in this GE... I always seem to get a larger male yorkie.. so would not be surprised if I did yet again.. I am getting excited to know tho...woot woot... soon sooon anne |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Well, I at least slept a couple of hours. Thanks for the data analysis. It's not as lop-sided toward girls as I would have suspected. For some reason I always seem to read more posts about girls than boys as I'm reading the various threads/forums. You can have an odd number and still not have anyone get their own name... A gets B, B gets C, C gets A...each gets someone but not their own. As long as one name goes in and one comes out, it should be a one-to-one correspondence. I think when you are thinking of an even match-up you are thinking of pairing off. Since you generally don't get the person who gets your name (although that is a possibility), this won't work in the same way. I was interested in seeing the probability of getting a girl's name vs. a boy's. It's really too close to predict since there's a 57% chance of getting a female and a 43% chance of getting a male. It is more probable that the SB will be a female but not convincingly. Math doesn't seem to help too much in a case like this! Hmmmm...so again we wait...LOL |
