Well this is our first one and I just am off the chair excited....i am starting my shopping tomorrow ...I think this thread gives us newbies some great ideas..

Read this post and thought, "NO,NO,NO!" Don't let others' negativity get to you. I'm glad to see you've gotten over being discouraged and are going to remain in the GE.
Gotta remember, what people post is not always meant in the manner that others may read it and it's ONLY their opinion. I still say (and live by)....if you don't like a certain thread, then don't read it AND if you can't say anything nice then don't say anything at all.

Amy (LilDiddyBear) is the one that got me the mug. I just thought is was so beautiful since it had all of my dogs on it and not just Jasper (Maltese) that was in the GE. Don't know where she got it from but I do love it and show it off to everyone.

Tammy, I am glad that you decided not to quit the GE. Don't let others get to you. We had so much fun in the last 2 GE's and I know you will enjoy this one also.

Thor is modeling one of our favorite gifts in my avatar, his tuff camo harness.

I think the bed jencar98 made has to win, though. I've attached a picture, though it doesn't really do it justice. Thor usually looks a lot more relaxed when he's on it.

this is tuff wabbit as we have been in a bunch and we love everything - we got a video made up of my babies, a great necklace of my dex, a cool leash holder with my gang painted on it from brea, a cool bed by lil diddy, and a cool indians bed and blanket for mommy and daddy, tons of awesome clothes, a scrap book made by shar baileysmom, omg i can go on and on with all the wonderful gifts -I love spoiling all the babies too. I just got back from pet expo and bought a bunch of stuff for ge this time as i like finding unique things but i am craft challenged lol

ok ok the best gift is dexter got a girlfriend Lucy and they spoil each other and love each other so much dee dee had lucy as a ge buddy and she became dexter's girlfriend

Thanks so much Rose!!!! I'm sorry I probably shouldn't even have posted that....it was a BAD night for me!!! lol I almost sent in a request to be pulled from the GE to Admin and a COUPLE GE'RS pm'd me....and made me feel better...*love all my great friends here on YT!!*
I agree with the"can't say anything nice comment"...and just because it's an "opinion" that does not mean that it has to be voiced" especially when it's hurtful...but not everyone lives by those words...or cares...

I wish a negative light wasn't shone so brightly on the GE...if people understood that its not just getting gifts...but it's EVERYTHING that is so much fun...from finding out who our SB is....to the FUN FUN FUN hint threads....to reading each others comments.... teasing everyone....and making new friends...with EACH GE!! Then maybe more would join in and not be so negative about it!

WOW DEB!!!!! I didn't even include ALL the clothes, toys, scrapbooks...etc. that we got too...lol

Oh I did get a darling handmade Blanket from Amy (lilldiddybear)s MOM...it's PRECIOUS!!! It is my girls FAVORITE blankie..they sleep with it almost every night!

I have participated in several GE's and have been blessed with a multitude of really neat gifts. I think the one that I treasure most came from my very first GE exchange -- Fasteddie was my partner and I received a YorkieTalk coffee mug. I LOVE that mug, I honestly believe it makes my coffee taste better. Aside from the coffee mug, my most treasured gifts have been the simple handmade with love gifts.

Cindy I totally agree..I've only been in one GE but that was a great one. Izzy rec'd many handmade items that were perfect..especially her little, pink, homemade, crocheted blankie that we use daily. I keep it in the car with me and she gets covered up while in her Snoozer heat or air. She also had that blankie both times she was sick with pancreatitis and had to stay at the vets. This was a simple blankie - no designs, etc. and it's our favorite!! I can't crrochet so this thing better last us forever..OMG or I'm in deep doo-doo.

PS We would participate more in the GEs but with her pancreatitis now she can't have treats and for sure does not need toys.

Cyndi, Please participate. In the spirit of the exchange to get to know someone better -- I am sure that someone will repespect and understand the "no treats" and what the hay, a girl can NEVER have too many toys. It is the love and care that goes into the gift and the love and care that is acknowledged by the receiver that makes the GE's really special. Who knows, maybe your partner will see that precious little Izzy Princess gets another spectatular blankey - and of course you NEVER EVER have too many blankeys.

Hey neither does my dex as he had the pancreatitis and no toys as we have 4 boxes full of them - YIKES not spoiled at all - glad you said you would join on the other thread as there are a lot of things to do aside from food and toys - blankets, beds, bows, clothes, collars, leashes, picture frames, photo albums, carriers, etc -- so izzy needs to join and be with her peeps

I LOVE GE"S!!! I LOVE sending out gifts to my secret buddy!!!! I'm not going to deprive some special baby out there cuz I got overwhelmed for a little bit!!!

I am so glad you decided to participate. Don't let a few people take the fun out of it, if they don't like it then I guess they don't need to participate. I love GE's, this will be my third one and I just love shopping for my new yorkie buddies.
